In my view, Cornelius is a legit starting qb in the league as it is now. Not top shelf but in the same league as Maier, Evans and others. Elizondo for all of his shortcomings as a head coach made an astute choice in bringing him in and giving him an opportunity.

As for Tre Ford, I would put him well down on the list of up and coming developing qbs. I’d be happy to be proven wrong, but I would be surprised if he ever gets beyond being a 3rd string, short yardage qb. His accuracy, decision making, and ball protection last night were well below what is expected for a professional league. There was just no way that Edmonton was going to win last night with him as qb.

We could see a lot of recycled quarterbacks on new teams next year. Bo Levi Mitchell, Cody Fajardo, Vernon Adams and Nick Arbuckle are all vets who are likely to be looking for new opportunities. Developmental QBs will have to get in line for playing time.

West Semifinal Nov. 6 at B.C. Place. See you there.
Nice accomplishment! But that semifinal could be the end of the line for their GC quest if they don't clean up their act, i.e. a dozen penalties for over 100 yards!
This will only be the fourth time in franchise history that the Lions finished 2nd in the west and hosted the west-division semi-final. The Lions have a 3-0 record when hosting the west division semi-final and all them were in the form of very close wins over Winnipeg, only to be demolished in the WDF by their Alberta rivals.

May the trend continue in home WDSF playoff wins and if they make it to the WDF, it won't be against an Alberta rival.

Based on last night I'm thinking anybody who did wasn't planning on making it happen so soon. Great wheels that he displayed a few times but overall showed that he is very, very raw as a QB prospect often missing his target on deeper balls by several yards.
Still, after Rourke and Maier, I think Cornelius and Ford are the next two best QB prospects right now in the CFL.
That might not be saying much. I thought Brown looked very good last week and in that come from behind effort early in the season when Collaros was put in concussion protocol. I'd put him ahead of Cornelius and Ford; Cornelius because of inconsistency and propensity for making big mistakes at the wrong time and Ford because it's just too early. He needs a lot more development time to get to where he needs to be. In terms of age Cornelius turned 27 in September. Brown and Ford turn 26 and 25 respectively in March.
Kelly, but he needs more playing time other than short yardage plays. Dinwiddie, through personal experience, should know that a backup needs to get to play now and then and not suddenly get thrown to the wolves.
