There is hope, even in a pass-happy league. Love the passing game too. But at times it seems as though the running game is going to the wayside. ...

I PREFER the passing game but KNOW the running game is an important piece. The Riders kept running even when it was getting STUFFED. I am happy it will always be a pass happy league but teams that run will always have that extra advantage, IMO......

Korey Sheets was initially stopped by the Ti-Cats defensive line but Cortez stuck to the running game and it paid off in spades.

While we won't know how strong Ottawa will be or how decimated these teams will be to the draft and FAs leaving - and coaches - the East should be stronger next year from the start. In the West, Esks with their new HC could be much improved. It will be very interesting in the CFL next season. WPG - total unknowns until they get their house in order. Still a huge job there.

Hamilton will play in a new stadium. Popp will be HC from the get go and he I believe can coach. Argos will be tough still.

Interesting quotes in the Hamilton Spectator from their players. Kind of hints at they are now on the Austin wave length and we know they went thru a ton of players 80+ mostly to start the year so they will be tougher next season.

- this is one from DT Brian Bulcke. The story says that next year it wont take time to find converts to Austin. Several articles and like Jamall Johnson speak positively of Austin. WCJ and I were speculating on some thread about Austin's staying power as we simply don't that as he won one GC and bolted to Old Miss. I doubt he's bolting this year but from players' quotes he did okay for his first year.

Yes it is shaping up to be an EXCITING OFFSEASON, IMO. Looking forward to seeing how things turn out next season. I still feel the Bombers and all the western teams will benefit from being the bigger division. Whoever finishes in fourth in the west probably WILL have a good shot at crossing over, IMO but I guess we'll see.....
