Re: Game Day Thread- Stamps vs. Lions
Stamps are just pinning their ears back and coming. They know the OL is giving no resistence and with the score as it is they know the Lions will abandon the run. Even when they've tried to run the backfield is full of Stamps before Harris has the ball.

Re: Game Day Thread- Stamps vs. Lions
After last week everyone was ready to anoint Reilly the next greatest thing...its WAY TOO SOON to make much of any comments about him...
In the brief time we have watched Reilly at QB, he is INCREDIBLY NERVOUS out there (not a good thing at all), he does not look off receivers, he throws a lot off of his back foot, and has a slow release due to his poor arm motion...
Anyone who thinks that this is a "for sure" #1 starter some day, is out to lunch...he needs a LOT of work to see if he can get better...
Reilly has talents, but he has been BRUTAL tonight.
If I were MB, I would unload on this team at half time...brutal effort across the board...
As I said in the pre game, if you play slow and soft, you get hurt...

We had the wrong game plan coming into this game, we need to change our plan in the second half if we are to compete in the second half

I like Rod Black!! Great myth of how bad he is but I love his stories about our players as he is great at getting that in. I don't need play by play like on radio as I can see it.
But the positives:
The Lions know how to stick their hands in ice. Worked on that all week.

we should have been bringing out a two TE, Lumbala and Harris and the backfield, and pound the ball down their throats mindset, instead we're trying to play our normal game with a green QB in the cold, MB and Jaques get some blame

6:22 left to play in Q2 and finally a Harris play
Kierrie Johnson too would make a play today if put in the line up. Oh he got cut as he is just a number. Look at the replacements. I am impressed tonight..lol.

Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Reilly is having trouble hanging in to the ball. The receivers aren't.
