I am a 31 year old male living in Edmonton. I was originally born and raised in N.Vancity beautiful BC baby. I love my Leos thoroughly. My old man was a CFLer for 10 years including 1 year with the Lions. I call a G Cup for our boys this year. They are peaking at the right time.

Re: Introduce yourselves

Howdy!

I am 36, born and raised in Richmond. I have been living in San Diego for some time, but have been fortunate enough to travel back to the lower mainland regularly of late and re-aquaint myself with my old beloved Lions! (I have not been able to endear myself to the Chargers or the NFL really.) I went to the Argos game last Saturday, first game I have attended since The Pez owned the team. Happy to be getting back into the flow of things and I look forward to getting to know some of ya.

Go Lions!! :roar:

Re: Introduce yourselves

Hey..

Well i found this site a few months ago (thank god)... and i've made a few posts already but i figure its time to introduce myself..

My names David, 19 years old, student at SFU, and along with golf, the CFL and more specifically the B.C. Lions are the two passions in my life... and umm.. oh, definately hate the canucks sooo much :thdn:

Look forward to the discussions!
-Believes in building from the trenches outwards. A great O-Line and D-Line guarantees an above average team.
-A coach that has to give a motivational pregame speech is probably a coach that is insecure about his game plan.

Re: Introduce yourselves

Hi - 32 year old male. Huge Basketball and Football Fan, I like to play basketball everyday, be active etc, my dream was to play running back in football, however when I was growing up I was too small/short(stand at around 5'7" these days, sadly back then? barely 5'0" tall)...so now I just admire what guys like Stefan Logan etc do...they are blessed to be doing what they do.

Re: Introduce yourselves

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking through my hubby's account (joesports) for a couple of years, and figured I'd sign up myself!

I had season's tickets to the Stampeders for many years when living in Calgary, and moved to the West Coast in 2001, where we immediately signed up for Lions seasons tickets. We were glad when Wally followed us out to the Coast!

The CFL has been a part of my family for years, even as a kid. Our house was the one that held the Grey Cup party every year, whether our team was in it or not. My parents held season's tickets in TO, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Calgary, and here in Vancouver.

We love the Lions, and the CFL as a whole. GO LIONS!! Can't wait for the season to start!

Welcome and I share a similar background in having Stamp ST's, moving here and now have Lion ST's. I thought about this on Fanfest and thought that I might mention it to Wally that he keeps following me around, but to let him know I wasn't going anywhere else for ST, but he began by asking us how many years we have been to Fanfest and time was short.....

At Wally's first Fanfest here (at BC Place) a few years ago, I did mention that we were so glad he'd made the move out here, as we'd had ST in Calgary for years. Wally asked where we lived in Calgary, and turns out we lived in the same general area. I remember his daughter Christie as a young teenager working in the grocery store I shopped at in our neighbourhood!

We plan on staying on the coast also.....so Wally can rest assured that we aren't expecting him to pick up & move either anytime soon. :good:

Re: Introduce yourselves

Hi, all. Happy Canada Day, and what better way to celebrate than with back-to-back games.

I'm in my third year of fandom now. My favourite players always seem to vanish (Joe Smith, Cam Wake, and don't be alarmed but I took a shine late last year to Paul McCallum). I also love cats, so I'm a natural fan of BC (or Hamilton...). I'm here at LionBackers to learn more about the game and check out the pool.

I'm a 35-year-old, goatee-wearing, espresso-drinking Vancouverite. Port Moody, actually, because it reminds me of my childhood home of Nelson. My wife got me into football, and spoils me in every way possible. Questions like, "do you need more beer" and "can we play a video game" are commonplace. But now I'm just gloating... :yahoo:

Enough chat. Let's watch some football - Lion's Budget Brake & Muffler 1st Down!
