Sorry, I don't think I was clear as I could have been. By saying that things are case-sensitive, I mean that this website is smart enough to know the difference between "I bleed orange" and "I Bleed Orange" and keep everything straight between the two accounts. When I mentioned above that possible confusion might arise, I meant on the part of forum participants in distinguishing the distinct identities -- due to the near similarity of the two handles. And this only occurred to me by sheer coincidence, because both of you were in the "logged on list" earlier today, which is largely what prompted my last post in the first place.QB Club 63 wrote:Sorry about the name confusion. I just assumed my choice would get tossed out if there was any conflict. I never expected it to be case-sensitive. Being the noob, I will of course gladly change my handle if someone can tell me how.
How about my second choice - QB Club 63
So technically, while changing your handle wasn't absolutely necessary as far as account maintenance is concerned, it was nonetheless very gracious of you to do so anyway out of respect for the prevailing IBO and in the process proactively fend off any confusion in the Lionbacker fraternity.

I hope this post is less confusing than my last

Once again, welcome to the Lionbackers group, QB Club 63.
As part of your welcome, perhaps we should nominate you for the inaugural Derek Cameron Wake Award. 8)
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

QB Club 63 welcome to Lionbackers!!
Thank you for changing your handle after some of the regulars here pointed out the inadvertent duplication. I can understand how this event occurred; I use an underscore instead of a blank between the words - so as far as computer was concerned, the names were different.
I like your avatar. Have fun posting!

Nah, I was just riffing on Cameron Wake's name change. During training camp and preseason he was listed as Derek Wake, but shortly before the regular season started -- and for reasons that either I don't recall or were never specified -- he asked to be called Cameron, which I believe is his middle name.QB Club 63 wrote:Is that something like the "player to be named later" you see at the trading deadline?

There's no doubt in my mind they would prove the most passionate of CFL fans if given the chance. I'd love to see that one day.QB Club 63 wrote:If someone could prove Maritimers would be as passionate, putting a team in Halifax would be a no-brainer (despite the potential for teams whining about time-zone changes) and the CFL would be normal again
Welcome!
*lurk*
Hidey ho all! After some prodding from a misguided member of Ridernation (BCRiderFan, a fellow lurker here) that I wasn't a true fan, I have decided to prove him wrong. Anywho, my name is Chris and I'm typically one of the guys who will start a "<cityname> is that way!" chant when a member of the opposition gets sent to the showers early (ie: the poor chap tossed with Crawford in the Argos game).

Re: Introduce yourselves
Hey all! I didn't really watch much cfl until I was 11. That was 92 and I remember thinking damn, the lions sure are bad but for whatever reason I got into it a bit and then in 93 and thereafter I was really into it....on tv. I live in the Okanagan so I've only ever been to a couple of games. The first was the 42-10 disaster at home against Sask in Nov of 2001 and the second was the 07 WF. That game was a bummer but it was great to be there in person for a change.
I'm not really a typical football fan; most people that know me are surprised that I watch so much football. My wife laughs this time of year to see me watching tapes of games from last year but hey, there's more to notice the more you watch, right? Skipping through inbetween plays sure makes the game go faster.
So yeah, that's enough from me, here's to a great 08. Cheers!!!

Welcome aboard, nice to see how the BC Lions are BC's team, with fans stretching everywhere across the Province and beyond.hazelrah wrote:Hey all! I didn't really watch much cfl until I was 11.
