I have lurked here for several years, don't know why I hadn't joined before. Actually, yes I do. It was the comments of the_real_deal that had me yelling at my monitor. After I calmed down I decided it was time to sign up.
I am a lifelong Lions fan. I was in the Woodward's Quarterback Club in the Sixties (my brother and I still have the '62, '63, and '64 crests to prove it!). Mom had season's tickets in section EE at Empire Stadium. Back then it was the CKNW 98 Club so we got all sorts of swag to make up for having to sit in that cold, wet, and windy northeast corner of the stadium. I was there for many pre-turf games played in fall monsoons, and by the fourth quarter you couldn't read most of the jersey numbers, and only the kickers were clean.
With the move to BC Place we upgraded the tickets from the corner to the sidelines, but over the years I have migrated back to the corner, with Section 10 now being home (because I'm thrifty, not cheap!)
I have said before and I still maintain that Rider fans are in a class by themselves when it comes to supporting their team. If the folks in Ottawa had had their kind of passion for the game the Rough Riders would never have folded. If someone could prove Maritimers would be as passionate, putting a team in Halifax would be a no-brainer (despite the potential for teams whining about time-zone changes) and the CFL would be normal again, with Winnipeg back in the west where it belongs, fielding 10 healthy, competitive teams from sea to shining sea.

Welcome to the group, "I bleed orange" -- I thought your handle sounded familiar and I just noticed before I typed this that there is already someone else here with the handle "I Bleed Orange" (both of you are logged in now as I type this!). Hope that doesn't cause any confusion! Evidently these things are case-sensitive.

Sorry about the name confusion. I just assumed my choice would get tossed out if there was any conflict. I never expected it to be case-sensitive. Being the noob, I will of course gladly change my handle if someone can tell me how.
How about my second choice - QB Club 63

It's not really a secret .... it's either a hi 5 or a wave after another Lions TD 8)
