Rourke walks untouched into the endzone for our 5th TD of the day

With less than 40 seconds left in the half, TJ Lee snags a pick-6!!
Edit: officials called him back as down by contact. Boo. Still though, big play!

Going to be a long season for Edmonton. The Lions are improved, but they can't be THIS good.

The only thing I am enjoying more than watching the Lions put up 35 in the first half is all the cut away shots of Chris Jones!

The INT ends in a TD anyways, this time for Hatcher. 42-6 Lions

I think it was a mercy call as I agree with Forde. Lee didn't have control IMO until after the contact.
For me this is a nice game to watch. Some balance vs a half assed attempt to run then gun it downfield.
Yes, it's the Elks and it takes Jones time to get it right but overall it's a nice game to watch with a QB who isn't all about the big play.
Butler with 4 TDs at the half. All last year, just 3. He looks pretty comfortable in this offence both with the ball and blocking.

Migawd. I didn't realize how much I missed crowded concourses and lineups to the can at halftime.

According to the BC Lions team records, it was 67 BC vs Shreveport on Aug 27/94. After that, 61 BC at Ottawa on Sep 8/05

Today the Lions broke a franchise record for most points in a first half (old record: 39, back in '94) and tied for most points in any half (42, which was achieved back in '81).

Okay. No danger or that falling likely.
