Re: Lions @ Tiger-Cats Game Day Thread Oct. 12
Only once so far tonight have we failed on a 2nd down conversion (the incompletion). And another PI flag as Ian gets hit... helmet to helmet... that's garbage

Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

I hated that hit. I don't see how that is a football hit.

Head shot.
Coaches teaching headvshot techniques should be banned.
Should be a suspension.

That seems like an attempt to injure. Should have been kicked out of the game.MikeAK wrote:I hated that hit. I don't see how that is a football hit.

I wonder if we will see the return of Akeem Foster in the second half?

Bogus call on McKenzie.
Re: Lions @ Tiger-Cats Game Day Thread Oct. 12
I agree. I don't understand how he is still in the game. Like I said, I don't see how that can be considered apart of the game.TheLionKing wrote:That seems like an attempt to injure. Should have been kicked out of the game.MikeAK wrote:I hated that hit. I don't see how that is a football hit.

Burris runs right into the heart of the blitz. Not a smart play
