This is a test of our faith in ourself.
No team knows their limitatioins until they test their own faith in themself when they are at odds their own success

This post is by far the most entertaining thing I've seen tonight. Thanks, I needed it.Hambone wrote:It has to be the white pants. That's the only explanation I can come up with.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Yes, and that dumb kick is some of the silly thinking from MB.KnowItAll wrote:McCallum just needs to get ahold of Doug Flutie for drop kick lessons
He is coach of the year. He doesn't need to get too cute or arrogant. Get back to basics.
Lions don't use Harris - very weird. Very dumb. But hey saving him maybe?

sometimes there is no explaination.
sometimes *poop* just happens
sometimes in the big picture, it doesnt mean anything.
better now than post season I say.
The only thing I feel bad about is MR. Was really hoping to see him at his best. Then again, if he totally sucks today, maybe that helps us keep him in the future, who knows

I wonder if the Bombers and the Esks are still interested in Reilly

Complete no show. Starts with a horrendous effort by the o-line. Why the hell is Valli playing centre? Reilly's stock dropping faster than RIM shares.

You think Hufnagel didn't tell his team about BC arrogance this past week. MB needs to be coach of the year and not talk like this as his team believes it:
"Plug 'n' play" is a cute, alliterative term used by head coach Mike Benevides to describe one of the most telling aspects of the B.C. Lions. It describes the roster depth that separates a potentially great team from a merely good one.

"We have 16 to 17 guys from which to choose on defence," he said. "We can throw any combination at an opposing team. The beautiful part is, this game is all about tendencies and scouting, from a coach's perspective. But how do you scout our defence? It makes it tough."

Another short kick ..........with the wind.
Re: Game Day Thread- Stamps vs. Lions
Harris is frustrated. They're taking procedure penalties or making other mistakes every time they try to get him the ball.Toppy Vann wrote:Yes, and that dumb kick is some of the silly thinking from MB.KnowItAll wrote:McCallum just needs to get ahold of Doug Flutie for drop kick lessons

Angus Reid has been playing with a sore leg the past few weeks. Lions resting him.SammyGreene wrote:Complete no show. Starts with a horrendous effort by the o-line. Why the hell is Valli playing centre? Reilly's stock dropping faster than RIM shares.

Re: Game Day Thread- Stamps vs. Lions
Well from a personal standpoint it could be worse. I'm doing some contract work down in the Kootenays and am stying in Fernie only 3 hours drive away which for me is a short trip to see the Leos. Made what turned out to be a wise decision, mostly weather forecast induced, to skip the game and work through the weekend.
