Defence packed it in tonight and that was just the prime example of it.
Granted the piss poor calling by the refs taking big plays by the defence away didn't help.

Now that I don't live in Quesnel do I need to change my handle??

Nice statement game Lions. You are not a very good football team. Should be another 27,000 rattling around the dome next Friday. Defence took a huge step back tonight and Pierce didn't get it done after a promising first half.

Something needs to be changed and soon. As far as I can tell, we will be lucky to get to the playoffs this year. This game was way to important to lose like this...I have lost my confidence in the team.
A team that never gets too high in victory nor too low in defeat is a team that can do damage no matter how they get to play offs.
Fans should think big picture too.. the game was entertaining.

It's not easy to beat Calgary on the road.hwgill wrote:Buck had lots of opportunities to score tonight, but he only succeeded once. Penalties and turnovers have also hurt us badly.

-Believes in building from the trenches outwards. A great O-Line and D-Line guarantees an above average team.

Nope there will be lots more.SammyGreene wrote:Nice statement game Lions. You are not a very good football team. Should be another 27,000 rattling around the dome next Friday.
I know there were over 100 tix sold by PG Minor football for the kids that are playing at halftime.
Riders are in town. I couldn't get 4 tix together in the lower bowl between the 20's.
Lots of Rider fans will be there.

How many times has a RB in this league had his best game of the year against us?
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.
I am just so pissed, I thought that if we win tonight, we have a good shot at still taking the Western Title. Now, I don't have the confidence that they can win the title, nor make the playoffs.
