The Lions have signed second-round draft pick Siriman Bagayogo after his tryout at the Kansas City Chiefs minicamp this week. The team also signed WR Jevoni Robinson, their first round pick in the Global draft.

Realize it was a weak draft this year but will any of our picks dress this season.

The two first-rounders, national DL Francis Bemiy and Global SB Jevoni Robinson, have a chance to dress and contribute on special teams. Robinson has used his big body effectively as a receiver and blocker, and has looked better each day since rookie camp.

Bemy and Bagayogo should both dress. Bemy can play inside and out. Bagayogo is needed depth at Cornerback. The problem is you guys are loaded on defense with Canadian talent.

Maybe instead of having all these back up, Canadian LBs for special teams, you go with more DBs (Greene, Rene and Bagayogo) and defensive ends (Kongbo, Bemy and Archibald)

Campbell & McEvoy will have some fancy footwork to do today to protect as much of the talent as they'd like to. One thing in their favour is they seem far more willing than Wally to stash guys on the 1G list. Wally didn't like to stash healthy guys on the 1G. He stubbornly, almost to a fault, adhered to the roster rules.

To be fair. 1 game list is legal now, when it was shunned Wally’s time. If you see league stuff they market it as healthy scratch, like hockey. It’s all under the cap anyways so it makes sense the league basically accepted that this is part of roster management.

Still stand by my statement that draft was very weak, and these guys are hope and prayer projects and shouldn’t dress anytime soon,

Way too early to draw any firm conclusions on the 2023 draft. From what I've seen/heard, I believe Bemy can eventually start but probably needs to add more upper-body strength. Strong legs though.

Not as bullish on Bagayogo thus far, but there's still a lot of development left. Not easy to step onto a CFL field from U Sports and effectively play corner right away.

When you only have 2 picks in the top 33 of a CFL draft, might be kinda hard to expect great results, or proclaim it a weak draft when you missed out on opportunity there.
