The Lions are out of import DBs. According to Farhan Lalji, Reddick is likely out. With Ruffin injured and out for the season, Muamba and Mahmoudi are all they have left, not counting Arakgi. The only DB on the practice roster is Rafael Priest, who was just signed in September. This is the worst position to be in against Montreal's big, talented receivers.

I'm surprised that Reddick is still out! I still wish the Leos would go into this game using Dennis at nickel and keep Banks at shortside half and Phillips at corrner. Mumaba and Mahmoudi would be the backups and also play in the six and seven man packages but it sure leaves us very light.

If our Leos wanted to, they could sit McKenzie or Bighill for this game and only go with one backup import linebacker but they won't do that.

On the defensive line, as I anticipated, our Leos will not activate Rajon Henley, as I hoped, but instead will go with Hunt. That will likely mean that Hunt will play some rotations ...in the present scenario I probably would have sat McKenzie and Johnson and activated Priest and Henley but understand why Wally wants to go with the vets..and only dress five defensive linemen against Montreal.

Lets hope for no more injuries during this game and we obviously need a win to get the bye, play at home in the WDF at B.C. Place..we haven't lost there this season.. and heal up.

ARMS RACE: Lions try to keep grip on first place

Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.
