We only get our rain during the 13th month Hammy, as it should be.

Hey there's a lot more to that number than you think Robert.Lionheart wrote:We only get our rain during the 13th month Hammy, as it should be.
What is the average October rainfall in Vancouver? 113mm
And here's the real doozy. According to The Weather Network the average annual November rainfall in Regina is..........13mm!

Hmm.. you seem to be the one with the stereotyping... claiming everyone in saskatchewan thinks it rains all the time in Vancouver..Lion_Pride_26 wrote:May I just say that I find it funny whenever someone from Saskatchewan wants to talk about stereotypes.
And oh yeah, it's never sunny over here in BC. It rains all year long. We have no idea what the sun looks like.

Heck, most people in saskatchewan merely have to ask their relatives what the weather is like in BC. Can't swing a cat out here without hitting a former saskatchewan resident.DJ Rider MJ wrote:Hmm.. you seem to be the one with the stereotyping... claiming everyone in saskatchewan thinks it rains all the time in Vancouver..Lion_Pride_26 wrote:May I just say that I find it funny whenever someone from Saskatchewan wants to talk about stereotypes.

Amen to that. Now can you rant about the piped in noise allegations just to please me.Sir Purrcival wrote:Every year at playoff time or even in October, it is always the same thing, "play in a dome blah blah", "not used to the elements blah blah" and so on and so forth. These guys practice outdoors, play in 6 other stadiums that are outdoors, come from colleges and universities where they play outdoors..... the speculation is so tired and unsupported by facts that you would think that even the dimmest of lights would actually have given up by now.
It is BS pure and simple.

Lions have the bestest piped in noise EV-AR. Just ask Carm Carteri or Sheri Austin.Rammer wrote:

IIRC they were not able to establish that though SM.

I aim to please.
In my best Family Guy style
You know what really grinds my gears? Fans from other cities who can't face the fact that their team lost. Rather than give credit to their opposition, they look for pathetic excuses to explain why their team just wasn't good enough. Take BC Place (soon to be named Rogers something no doubt). The fans of some teams (read one team) seem to think that the home team and the management at the stadium have secretly conspired to pump in crowd noise to make things difficult on the visitors. Do these fans have any proof? Proof? they don't need no stinking proof. They have said it , therefore it must be fact. They even point to the mysterious door somewhere in the stadium that is always locked and no one is allowed in. Gee no one ever had a secure area where there wasn't a conspiracy brewing I guess. They throw out accusations like beer cans all while failing to provide the slightest shred of credible evidence for their claims. In their defense, maybe "I know a guy, who has a cousin, who married another cousin, who heard it from a credible source" is acceptable to them. Who really knows? Who really cares? Anyway, enough is enough, I have to get back to installing those subterranean sound generato....oops I mean Seismic Testers underneath the Turf at Empire Field.

Re: Riders think we'll have a home field DISadvantage. Okay.
I always found the concept that one could actually pipe in noise through BC Place's notoriously brutal sound system and accoustics to be ridiculous. Maybe it was done when they were getting 15000 rattling around in the Dome just to create a level of ambient sound. But that was a decade ago. With crowds moving up into the 30000+ the aforementioned system and accoustics would render the concept useless. Just a waste of perfectly good electricity to try IMHO.Rammer wrote:IIRC they were not able to establish that though SM.

The really funny part for me is the Riders ADMITTED they practiced in Mosiac using 'piped in noise' to ready themselves for a game in BC Place. So there is PROOF one team is capable of pipe in noise at their home stadium and its not the Lions. I'm of the opinion that neither team/stadium bothers as both teams have loud fans and would be a waste of electricity as Hambone says.Hambone wrote:I always found the concept that one could actually pipe in noise through BC Place's notoriously brutal sound system and accoustics to be ridiculous. Re: Riders think we'll have a home field DISadvantage. Okay.
I think the biggest problem is that certain fans from certain other cities haven't come to grips with the fact fans at Lion games can be just as loud as they are. Being the conspiracy theorists they are they think the only way 30000 fans anywhere else can be as loud as they are is with electronic assistance. Two seasons ago I took in 3 games at Mosaic including the LD Classic, beergate and the Western Semi-final. I didn't find it to be any noisier there than a Lions' game with 30000 fans. Nor were they any noisier than Stampeder fans when they have a full house.notahomer wrote:The really funny part for me is the Riders ADMITTED they practiced in Mosiac using 'piped in noise' to ready themselves for a game in BC Place. Just read a season ticket holder email from the Lions Prez.
'Have a great time, wear orange and feel free to stomp but please don't jump because it is a temporary stadium'
Tempire will sound awesome Saturday Night. Judging by the last few days weather, I'm glad I'm sitting on the west side but you eastsiders are going to have an awesome sunset.

You mean we can't have noise pumped in anymore?Hambone wrote:I think the biggest problem is that certain fans from certain other cities haven't come to grips with the fact fans at Lion games can be just as loud as they are.
