I think Jason Medlock is going to make Wally an offer this afternoon that the Lions will take.

I can see Casey arriving in Vancouver next week for talks, but not for any shows at BC Place.

I can see Casey doing some skiing up Grouse Mountain or up at Whistler.

So don't be stupid. You know Buck is in his Option year and if he doesn't want to sign at this time, on Wally's terms, the door is open to Casey.

I assure you that Wally will want this resolved sooner than later.

The fans in Hamilton are shocked.
I will try and not be "stupid", but please do me a favour and return the request. BP was named as the starter prior to his NFL tryouts, that is a pretty good indicator that he has committed to BP for this season. The extension may or may not materialize, but it will have no bearing on his playing for the Lions this season. Where would he go should Wally be looking to trade him? As you assure me that Wally will want this resolved sooner than later, if you are telling me he wants CP as a 3rd string QB, I could go for that salary/position until he finds his 04 form.

The cat's out of the bag now.

Did I say Casey would start for the Lions?

Maybe we'll have a 3 way QB controversy.

Maybe. Just mabey.

But maybe not.

Trade Jarious and have Casey and Buck battle for Starter.

Who cares what Wally said then. This is Here and Now not There and Then.

If Buck is so good as you claim, let him beat out Casey at training camp.

You have an issue with competition? Let Casey push Buck at training camp.

Light a fire under Buck and indicate that it's time for him to "start producing".

Mabey this will be a good thing for fd....he could now go for long walks in the park with CP and there would no longer be the "long distance obstacle" in the relationship. He could be CP's Kato  ............Kalin that is.

From TSN.CA
If the agent for Casey Printers was to call the Lions to discuss the possibility of his client's return to the pacific coast, head coach and general manager Wally Buono said he would listen.

But that doesn't mean he is interested in signing Printers.

"You don't have to marry every girl you date," said Buono. "Given what he did for us in 2004, it would be disrespectful not to listen."

Buono insists he is happy with his current quarterbacking situation and has prepared an offer to starter Buck Pierce for a contract extension.

Pierce's agent is heading to the NFL combine this week, so there may not be anything finalized until after February 24.

"We've made commitments to our quarterbacks that I am very comfortable with," said Buono. "Listening to anyone else doesn't change that."

When Pierce was looking at NFL possibilities a few weeks ago, there were some preliminary talks between the Lions and Ticats about a possible trade sending Printers to the Lions, but those discussions were initiated by Hamilton general manager Bob O'Billovich and didn't get any legs.
Take it as you will.....

Here are the facts:

Medlock said he hasn't phoned anyone yet. He will place his calls Monday morning.

He would not confirm or deny that they would look at a backup role versus a starters role.

He would be calling BC, Saskatchewan and Toronto. They will all talk because there may be a bargain to be had.

Personally, I think he is headed to Montreal to get a new start and sit behind AC for a year.

Tillman had eariler said that he has little interest in him. Wally is just interested gathering info because he's using his cap room on other priorities. Toronto just signed Joseph to an extension and the Argos are not inerested in Joseph vs. Bishop repeat from last year.

Montreal might not be a bad idea. Calvillo can take Printers under his wings and show him the way.

Journeyman showing the apprentice.

I agree B.C. is an awkward situation. But it would've been nice.

Well lets face it, the jersey he covets is available, coincidence or not?

Montreal may have a sour taste in their mouth regarding CP leaving them at the alter on his return to the CFL. That may or may not be a factor, as CP's play in Hamilton may be all that any team needs to make that call.

yeah I recall he was headed on a plane to Montreal to sign a contract and then he was rerouted to Hamilton

then he couldn't get across the border cause he didn't have a Passport

what a joke

Just heard that CP boarded a plane to Toronto to take in the Canucks and Laughs game tomorrow. Then he's going bass fishing.

Jim Popp was highly critical of Printers during an interview with Bob McCown during Grey Cup week. I would be very surprised if the Als have an interest in Printers as that would be quite a change of heart on Popp's part.

Mat Sundin will skate out tommorow night in Toronto and be greeted by boos, heckles and bloody tampons thrown onto the ice.

I wonder what a XXXedit by DXXX will look like smeared on the ice. Oh well

and then the camera will zero in on Casey Printers and he'll wave to the crowd and smile and the crowd will erupt in cheers !!!

Casey's becoming a Maple Leaf !
