Sport Mart in Duncan has Car Flags???? If so, I am burning dead dinosaurs to get there tomorrow AM.
Yes they do. Sorry I'll be out of town tomorrow or I'd ask you to stop by and say Hi. :bc50:

So much for selling tickets on the strength of the televised Calgary game.

Maybe D could confirm their IP addresses again....so we don't have to read his ahem, postings saying they are not, ahem the same person.
I'd love you to say it to my face because you'd only say it once...if you ever had the courage to say it at all!! Blitz, 05/24/2008

Why bother D with such trivialities, when one of your friendly handy dandy mod team could do the same?

It's time for Wally to be noisy in the locker room and read the riot act.

I wanna be standing at the Surrey Central SkyTrain and be able to hear Wally yell at the players.

I wanna see a roll of firecrackers be set off in the locker room.

I was hoping for Dickens actually. A Tale of Two Cities might be appropriate.

I abhor violence. How about instead of football and firecrackers, we have a good ol' fashioned quilting bee and drink some hot chocolate? Wouldn't that be better?

Re: 40.000 for opening night?

I won't re-quote all that, even though it bears repeating. Well said, all of it.

Now keep in mind that there were probably a lot of one-timers at the pre-season game as well - my season tickets came with two vouchers for bronze tickets for that game, so my wife and a friend of hers came along. Her friend is a fan that comes to the games when she can, but that'll likely be the only visit for my wife this season. I expect there may be a good many more like her, who were just there because it was free...

That being said, it sounds like there may have been others who are fans but haven't been to a game in a while, quite possibly on similar "freebies", who were hopefully suitably impressed to want to return again.

Re: 40.000 for opening night?

Kudos to the Lions for once again setting the home opener up as an "event" - just like high school and college teams do in the USA with their "homecoming" games (do you recall prior to the Ackles regime, the club used to just 'open the doors' for the home opener with no push whatsoever and expect people to show up?).

They have heavily promoted their "BC Lions Breakfast Blitz" in both local papers. It will be held tomorrow (July 2 from 6-10am) and for $30 one receives 2 tix to the Home Opener, 2 gate admissions to the PNE, 1 Pacific Adventure golf pass at Playland, coffee and mini-donuts and a copy of The Province.

A $94 retail value for just $30!

If anyone is planning on attending, please report back. The Felions will be there too - the corner of Hastings and Cassiar.
