did i really hear something that daft or am i high?
Yeah, it's akin to how they have more, massive posting numbers on their website, which also shows that they are more passionate fans than any others.

BTW if you are high, SHARE!! Baaahahahaha!!

When you host a playoff game once every generation, I'm sure it's a sight to see.....

KnowItAll wrote:using the fact that they havent won in 19 yrs as a mark against is wrong. What it does is speak volumes of how good they are as fans. Lets see how fans of other teams are when their teams have such a drought. Its a pat on the back to acknowledge how well they support their team through and after a 19 yr drought.

Excuse me KnowItAll: but don't kid your self, the Riders did not always have the attendance that they have had this year..believe me. THey had drought years in attendance, the biggest thing about Rider Fans is they drive from way outside the city to attend. But obviously you condone the Rider Fans coming into other teams forums and TSN etc slamming the internal decisions of any given club's management decisions, and defaming players..etc..as if they were holier than thou...Don't get me going. Just wait, The Lion's will get it this week on the forums and CFL.ca full force..The RF's do not know how to handle success, and any win they get they ram it down the other teams throats, and I am not talking fun ribbing back and forth.

As far as the mention of their last G Win, it means who are you to criticize another''s teams lossess/management when your own team has not done it since then. I call that HYPOCRITICAL!!!

I give Rider fans credit for how faithfully they support their team, but every franchise's attendance suffers when the team sucks. I think that can be broadly acknowledged. We certainly know that as Lion fans.

Fan support wasn't where it is today, during the final couple years of the Roy Shivers era. How many blackouts were lifted due to sellouts in '06? I think just one, which would've been Labour Day. Maybe two, I could be wrong.

The only teams I can think of that still draw sellouts, or close to it, even when they're in the basement is Calgary and Edmonton, although its not surprising when you have the history of success that Edmonton and Calgary have. Less sure about Edmonton, but I remember even during the one year F-Troupe Era, Stamp fans still filled McMahon on a regular basis.

The beginning of this thread is kind of like watching two topless chicks in a streetfight...

Or two street chicks fighting over a top.

This has been just about the weirdest thread that I can remember. Started by a Peg fan, responded to by Rider fan. Peg fan is then criticized by a Lion fan who is in turn criticized by another Lion's fan. etc. etc. Perhaps we can get a poster from each Team in the country then we can call it the UN Thread.
