Lions refuse to fly Dave to Montreal

Of course the Lions have to economize. Why else did Wally sound agitated this morning when asked about the salary cap issue.

Why should they send a player when they're only paying him $ 400,000/year? $ 400,000 isn't a lot of money for the BC Lions, is it? After all, they didn't send him, right? They couldn't afford to, right?

Wally has so much confidence in DD, he didn't put him on the 9 game IR, a big reason why Printers isn't here.

I understand David Braley donated $ 70 million to McMaster University. David Braley had the bucks to make Printers come here even with a SMS penalty. David Braley probably wanted to get printers here but Wally has the upper hand in football operations, so Wally made a block.

You're only punishing yourself with all this, you know. And believe it or not, while your hero was on a Practice Roster, his old team won a Grey Cup. I know, because I was there.

You should try pulling for the Lions some time. You might actually like them.

Given that Dave has been on other road trips recently, I'd tend to suspect that it's more his own health that's at issue. Sure he's disappointed not to be going - that doesn't mean the team is "refusing" to take him.

You are right Soundy. Let's not forget that he has practiced more this week than any other week and the Team may be wanting him to take it easy this weekend so he can continue to progress in a positive manner. No sense risking a setback on an unnecessary flight.

Actually DD, from what I've seen on the sidelines, is constantly talking to the starting QB as he comes off the field (explaining what he is seeing I assume) as well as the OC. I'm not quite sure what you've been looking at if you've missed these interactions on the sidelines. From what I've been told by other players, DD has made numerous calls since he's been on the sidelines as well as helping with halftime adjustments and signaling plays in (ie when Buck got hurt in Calgary). I believe that BP (when he wasn't hurt) played better when DD was on the sidelines helping out than when he wasn't. Was he helping BP with what he was seeing on the field, or was he just a calming influence...hard to say.

Thanks, like I said in my post, maybe I missed that although it is a long flight for anyone let alone for DD while he is recovering from a concussion.

Enough of this ranting 120dB, it's done and over with. Pretty soon or if you haven't already done so, you're going to start to annoy the hell out of ALL of us. I'm a HUGE CP fan myself... or was until he signed for the $$ in Ticat land. Just let it go man...... you will not regret the team harmony and chemistry that we currently have. JJ had one hell of a game today... it's too bad 95% of his team mates did not show. It seems to me everytime JJ gets the all important start, his team mates let him down one way or another.
