This just opens up for what I' have been saying the last little while.
DD to OC. We just need a temp body in there for this year and then DD takes over.
Ritchie fill the gap for the short term? Steve Kruck may not be a bd choice either.

Sign our own blitz to a one year OC contract with the understanding that if Dave gets hurt Dave becomes the player/OC. Then next year Dave takes over the OC position and Buck becomes the official starter.

ahaha I like the idea of signing Blitz
Just out of curiosity, because I already forget, who was Edmonton's OC in 2005 and 2006?

Yes... Wally made it clear his preference would be to hire within since a good offensive system is already in place.Rammer wrote:Dorazio and Krupp were pointed out by Wally as possible replacements, he is talking to them via phone tomorrow as he is on holidays in Hawaii.
My problem with that is the guy overseeing that system for the last 3 seasons is now with a divisional rival and knows it inside and out. I wouldn't mind seeing some new wrinkles from a different mind and set of eyes.
Suggestions on who are the most critical aspect here.SammyGreene wrote:Yes... Entertainment value = an all time low
Well Dave Ritchie will probably take note and give some different stuff towards the esks. I really don't know who would fill this gap, maybe DD in a few years. But regardless of whoever it is I know Wally will make the right move for the organization and it's not like Chadeplaine was the only guy designing the offence he did have input from DD, Dan Doraizio and the qb's coach.

Everyone here who thinks Maciocia has a long future as Eskimos head coach please raise their hand. The only thing I can think about here that might have been a motivator is $$$.
Anyone?
Anyone?
Didn't think so.
This is a far more direct path to the HC job than BC was.
Actually, I blame you, the knowledgable fan. If you hadn't been so hard on the guy the past few years, he would never have left.
Sincerely,

Nice of him to do it AFTER Cortez signed on in Calgyra, however...
