B.C. in short yardage formation. The Als all up at the line. Not a good time to run a dive.Rammer wrote: Just too bad that we ran out of time down there, that would have changed the Als defensively for the worry of a throw.
Play action. Roll out. Pass or run.

That was a tremendous game. Buck was 38-48 for 406 yards. I haven't seen quarterbacking like that for quite a while. The turnovers killed the Lions but they ouitplayed the Als for most of the game and deserved a better fate.

Could have used Lyle Green too. He's a better bet than a green rookie. Or use Logan on a toss and let him find the end zone. Guys and gals, we are in the basement.... this is a crushing defeat emotionally. I hope we can recover from this.

I have to disagree, the lack of talant and desire is showing.Toppy Vann wrote:That is coaching folks... NO end.... so that is the end
Lumby not in for QB sneak WTF????/ Then he is in.. no end...
That is a coaching blunder... you can't be doing all those changes down there..
I said it before. ..rolly is not ready for these critical situations... they need joe or needed to get out around them.. bad call on qb sneak

Best news on a tough night. Buck is back. A bit of rust on the Int's but played very smart. Quick decisions kept the Als off of him.B.C.FAN wrote:That was a tremendous game. Re: Lions vs. Als Game Thread
In all fairness Lions didn't deserve to win the game. Prior to the last play, the Lions surrendered 5 turnovers for 20 points. This is one of the most frustrating loss in a long time. On the positive, Buck Pierce played a hell of a game.
Re: Lions vs. Als Game Thread
Same garbage as every game with missed tackles, and this one they gave points away, no receivers lined up wide on 2nd and short to give the run away
As far as I am concerned they can take all the Bob Ackles decals off their helmets and when each of the players earns the right to wear one they can get them back............as harsh as that sounds I am sorry but I am a little frustrated and disgusted right now :x

Thank you for everything you did for OUR Lions Mr.Ackles, we will never forget you...RIP

I agree. Looks good on you Wally. You and your staff better give your heads a shake. Why did you not call a TO to settle the guys down??
They had already used their time out.

me..unless he can improve the play calling at the one yard line.No Ordinary Joe wrote:Anybody else still think that we don't need Joe Smith on this team?

Every day that passes is one you can't get back
Re: Lions vs. Als Game Thread
Man if I was on this team I wouldn't make too many friends, too many mistakes mean to many opportunities for new players to take your job, no one is safe (except Buck)! Poorly played game we could have won but.................

I agree. The last three plays were disappointing, but this may have been the best
all round gane that the Lions have played since last season. Despite the loss, it
looks like a corner may have been turned.

MB, you'll make a quick recovery once you see Buck's numbers! The two INT's hurt but he's back!!mightybuck wrote:I am in shock
