I'm kind of thinking that maybe they were reckoning with a closer game and maybe thinking if Glenn got hurt it might be worth the risk. Clearly with the score being what it is, there is no % in putting him in now.

This is pretty sad to watch for a once proud franchise.

67 yards passing after 3 quarters. Pathetic.

This kind of showing is almost enough to get Wally fired, or at least consider retirement tomorrow. I have now taken emotion out of these posts, it simply is time to figure out the next step. If Wally isn't going to rid the organization of Benevides, then he himself must go. This is three years of slowing bleeding to death, what is in store for next season with the same coaching staff in place. It wasn't either Stubler or Chapdelaine, or for that matter Wally, it is all on Benevides and company. Think about it, Benevides is being schooled by HIggins, that is just another nail in the coffin.

Anything less than a Benevides being fired is completely unacceptable.

Look at Ernest Jackson for ONE MONTH...he was the best player in the CFL until the rest of the league figured out how to take him away, and we do NOTHING! You don't think that there must be weaknesses elsewhere if teams compensate for the likes of EJ, MA or Andrew Harris??? Come one...what's embarrassing is that we NEVER make teams pay for "cheating"...it just goes on and on and on....

Well there is a good thing with losing it shows where this team needs to improve. Thats face it the offense has not been team killers and the defense is spending way to much time on the field. goat horns for the OC and the head coach! Wally you got some explainin to do!

Unfortunately the biggest change needs to be the Head Coach but Benevides is the hand picked successor by Buono.

Well Wally does need to make big changes if he doesn't then he is getting too old at this game. The mistakes on offense and the penalties are just adding salt to the wound. But again now Wally should have a good idea what pieces need to go and what pieces need to be improved.

Well, we have been calling for wholesale change. Many of us were scared what might happen if the Lions managed to take even a single win in the playoffs. How that might postpone something that needs to happen. As this game goes forward, in this manner, mercifully that won't be an issue. That is the silver lining in this. Change must be coming because if it isn't, then the stadium is going to be a ghost town next year.

Ziggy, honestly, you don't understand football or life if you think this is on the players...you can't drive a race car at 200 miles per hour without confidence, let alone cover a receiver or block an all pro DE...it is the job of the coaches to put the players in positions to succeed and give them confidence...ours have NONE! Without confidence it makes the best of players look average!
Really sport you don' t know a thing about me! Your childish personal attack is uncalled for! I put little faith in the rants of anonymous know it alls!

Well Wally being stubborn as he is can not let this go! Benne has to go to have this team move forward that is pretty clear.

Don't think for a SECOND that this is Tom Higgins...he is simply the "father figure" to all these young, smart MTL Asst Coaches...THEY are out coaching the Lion's Assts...and think about this, most of these guys were brought in early in the season by the MTL GM because he REFUSED to give up on a season...they took a few weeks to turn it around, WITHOUT A DECENT QB, and now have gone NINE and TWO. And some of you are worrying about if there are good coaches out there to help the Lions??? There are TONS of smart Assts that would LOVE to come to BC and make a name for themselves...BUT they must have TOTAL CONTROL, you cannot expect to get anyone decent if Dan Dorazio and Chuck McMann are part of the "package"...this is ALL on Wally Buono...you can't blame Benevides for being Mike Benevides!
