Toppy Vann wrote:Wally said that PJ and KPeterson both were not ok to play to now. Also he said he wants and needs to phase them out for the young guys. Funny thing though he just signed KP...lol.
Phase them out? Paris is 31 years old. Fred Stamps, the same Fred Stamps who is killing us this game is 29 (30 in December). I guess the Eskies are just trying to use him up before he gets too old to be effective. Oh wait, wasn't that the 35 year old Geroy Simon who scored our only TD of the half? Wally's lost it.

The Keystone Kops are only down by 11 at the half. Whoa ... It looked like a blowout for a while.

Wally once again throwing the players under the bus.

Our defence look gassed already at half time.
Going to get worse if the offence doesn't get untracked.

Yes. Dante Marsh called out by WB which seemed a surprise to Farhan and fans.
Let's face it. This is just not a very good coached football now right now.
BUT they do come back in the 3rd Q and I suspect the Esks might start to fade here believing the Lions are going to be easy. Esks in 3 games not been under fire yet.

Where is our players 'leadership committee"?
You know, the leadership committee that
1) went to Wally to request Chap return as coordinator
2) deep throated to the press about the Messam-Paris Jackson dressing room fight (these usually stay in the dressing room)
3) went to Wally and asked that he release Printers last year
4) told Wally training camps were too tough and they were too tired after training camp.
Well, we can't blame our offence on Printers now. We can't blame the lack of a running game on an offrensive line that is one of the most talented in a decade.
We can't blame it on David Hyland, who is playing halfback for the first game of his career, even though he is a cornerback who played well at safety last season or Sanchez who is now playing safety for the first time. Many experts chose our Leos to win the Grey Cup this season, based upon the talent of our players.
What they didn't discount for is our coaching staff and our players 'leadership committee' of Angus, Geroy, Johnson etc.
Who will they get rid of now as the scapegoat? Which players or unit will get the blame after this game?
Now Wally just called out Dante Marsh at halftime on the TSN telecast.
We got our 1st first down of the first half with only the first half almost over. For all those who believed Lulay was going to be our answer,..there is no answer until the Chap is gone and we start making some changes to our scheme and play calling.
There was no reason to make 3 changes to our defensive secondary for this game..

On a positive note, I am liking what I've seen from Akeem Foster.

Man I sure am glad we don't have that sexual devient on our team. The last thing the Lions need is a guy who likes girls.

Typical Buono. Blame the players. The coaches are blameless.

Uugh! that was uking Frugly.
As much as it pains me to say this, there is a small part of me that almost hopes we implode over the next 4 or 5 games. It takes nothing short of complete destruction for Wally to act and maybe that is what needs to happen. We have some good young talent, but an OCoordinator that sucks big time. We have no running game, few sure handed receivers, a very unimaginative playbook, a D that is game but only marginal with a a few too many old and slow hands onboard.. I really do think that is is time for Wally to go. He doesn't seem to have the ability to adapt to the talent and experience levels of his players and he maintains an O Coordinator that have never gotten the job done, Never. He is our version of Machocia. A lead weight around the necks of the players and as hard as it is for me to say this, I am beginning to feel the same way about Wally. Methinks, it is going to be a race between us and the Wheaties as to who is going to be the most gawd awful this year.

Great post as usual Blitz. I tend to agree but I would go a step further and say that I am very near the point of thinking the entire coaching staff needs to go and it starts at the very top.

All part of Wally's subtle ascension into the front office, currently in it's 3rd year.
