Re: 2024 Season Week 3
Tim White has been a major disappointment so far this season. Dropping passes that he normally catches.
Re: 2024 Season Week 3
An exciting shoot-out game between the Argos & EE; some like high scoring football.
MBT was very good throwing strikes to receivers to make some nice grabs; Dukes looks so poised and sharp for a young QB, plus the Argos pounded a diverse ground game - Carey still has it; amazing TD run by smurf McMahon (shades of Leon McQuay explosive speed !) and 3rd RB Adeboboye had a real nice run as well. The more diverse offence ended up winning ... but ...
one of the worst games by an Argo secondary this Argo fan has ever seen - 2 young corners torched repeatedly and nobody on D did anything to stop MBT (aside from a bit of pass rush pressure) - no knock-downs or big hits to break up passes by DBs or LBs, no INTs - zero defensive play-making - and should be a big concern or they will get killed by the Als coming up.
And defensive guru Jones' D gets gashed by the run and allows a young QB to complete 80% + of his passes = a very weak D.
So, high scoring offence, but really weak defences. Chicken or egg ?

Good assessment.
I think it's a bit of both in the Argo game. MBT exposed those weaknesses as he knows the CFL and basically the Argos DEF capabilities. TSN panel had much to say about those guys!
The new combo of Chris Jones and Jason Shivers is probably a work in progress.
I think you nailed it on Cameron Dukes and while some success was Elks def. failings I believe he's the real deal and won't be one of these guys who look great and then fail as right now he's in the right situation with the right balance in offense structure and the right coaching.
