Usually the Lions tarp off 2 sections in the endzone in the lower bowl. Will this be the case as well for the concert home opener?

It's hard to imagine they would do that unless there's some logistical reasons behind that be it for the stage show or for "The Den" seating. Looking at a game later in the season seats between aisles 224 & 225 and 230 & 231 are the sections you're talking about. Those 2 blocks represent roughly 1000 seats or $25K in revenue based on selling price less TM fees and charges. However The Den seating includes access to the lounge above sections 225 to 230. Tarping those two sections off likely acts as a barrier to anybody not sitting in The Den from gaining access to the lounge area. They'd need to somehow create a form of security, wristbands for The Den fans perhaps, to ensure on Den-izens can access the lounge.

Fans aside, it was just nice to see the players excited about this. I don't have a notion at all about what it must be like to come north of the border and play in front of a bunch of people who may seem strange in terms of their reactions and habits. So maybe it is a little bit of home coming to where they are. You can bet that players on other teams might take notice of this. It shows that the Lions franchise has become a lot more in tune with the fans of the future and free agents might want a piece of that as well.
Tell me how long must a fan be strong? Ans. Always.

Yeah I can see the security aspect. Is there a reason why those sections are tarped off normally?

Between those tarps is the seating area known as The Den. On the concourse level above The Den is a lounge area that is intended to be accessed by only those holding single game seats or banquet seats in The Den. I assume there's food, beverage and washroom facilities to serve those fans. I presume they need a way to keep the unwashed from the sections outside of The Den from simply getting over to the aisle and walking up the stairs. Ushers could control access to the seating area through the tunnels with the tarps taking care of accessing from sides. The diagrams in the link below might clarify better than I can.

Quick look this morning and there's about 25 very scattered single seats available in the lower bowl. There might be 300 seats available in the far end from the stage from 450 around to 404. Then it's scattered singles from 405 to 421 and 435 to 449. First 10 rows from 422 to 434 are pretty much gone save for some singles. Vast majority of availability is in the top 20 rows of 422 to 434.

Lots of hooplah about the 50 Cent pre-game concert. Has there been anything regarding a Backyard Street Party on Robson? Last year it was The Trews performing and the year before Bif Naked subbing for Steven Page.
