Some interestin notes before game time. Our Leos have one hour before game time regarding Manny's status.Sir Purrcival wrote:The biggest elephant in the room in this game, isn't the talent or desire or ability of the players, it is the coaching. Pretty much what you alluded to WCJ. We can beat them but can we avoid beating ourselves. Please, please let us have some good game planning, adjustments and decision making from the sidelines.
CALGARY IS USED TO PLAYING WITH A LEAD
No opponent scored more than nine points in the first quarter this season vs Calgary and the Stamps’ edge overall was 138-58. They led after the first quarter this season 15 times in 18 games and are 46-8 since 2012 when leading after 15:00 of play.
TURNOVERS (for B.C. Fan especially - have a fun party today )
Calgary has a remarkable streak going in which it is unbeaten in the last 31 games when turning the ball over fewer times than its opponent. The Stampeders have not lost a game with fewer turnovers since Nov. 1, 2013 at BC.
OUR LEOS SCORE TOUCHDOWNS
Including the Semi-Final last week, the Lions have generated at least three offensive touchdown drives in each their last seven games. They have averaged 456 yards of net offence over that span.
STARTER UPDATES FROM CFL
LIONS
The big question mark still revolves around star pass-catcher Manny Arceneaux who left last Sunday’s semi-final against Winnipeg after absorbing a monstor hit from Bombers free safety Taylor Loffler. Arceneaux will be on the 46-man roster but remains a game-time decision.
Inactives: The club will announce its two scratches from the roster no later than one hour prior to kickoff.
STAMPS
Defensive back Jamar Wall only practiced once this week and was limited in doing so. However, he is on the 46-man roster and listed as the starting defensive halfback. Wall has been trying to work back from an ankle injury suffered in the Stamps’ season finale in Montreal. In the event that he cannot go and is a scratch, expect Sacramento State rookie DB Osagie Odiase to potentially fill in.
On the other side of the ball, Calgary was spending the week trying to fine-tune its final list of receivers. They have activated both Kemar Jordan and Bakari Grant – who is returning from injury – with Grant listed as the backup. Uncertain if he will make the gameday roster or be a scratch.
Defensive lineman Junior Turner is back on the roster after spending the majority of the year on the six-game injured list
National receiver Simon Charbonneau was placed on the one-game injured list and will be unavailable to the Stamps.
Inactives: The club will announce its two scratches from the roster no later than one hour prior to kickoff.
