Re: BC vs. Calgary Game Day Thread
Big catch by Burnham 1st down
Re: BC vs. Calgary Game Day Thread
Big break for BC after the procedure call on 2nd & 1, Juwan Simpson takes an UR call to give us the 1D.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Rainey should have caught that one
Re: BC vs. Calgary Game Day Thread
Rainey draws the PI call in goal but Huf challenges before BC get off the 1st & gl @Cgy1 snap.

That will be overturned. No pass interference.

Smith got his right hand inside and on Rainey's left so the PI call should stand.TheLionKing wrote:Rainey should have caught that one
Or not.

Will it be blocked ?
Re: BC vs. Calgary Game Day Thread
Not a good spot on the 2nd down Harris run after the PI flag was nullified.
Leone makes the chipshot from 16yds out to make it 3-1 BC.

I don't get why they wouldn't go for that 3rd and 1 way down there. Baffling.
Re: BC vs. Calgary Game Day Thread
Cgy only dressed one backup OL so if their centre Lavertu injured on their last series can't return it could be a factor.

Pick six after the receiver juggles the catch. 7-3 Cgy with the convert to come. Huge momentum shift after we held their O essentially scoreless for the whole quarter with the wind.
2PCA fails and it remains 7-3 Cgy.

And now a flag on the KR to back us up deep after giving up the defensive score.
