I don't know if the KC experience exactly qualifies as playing time. Certainly the Hamilton campaign was trying at best given their receiving corps, but IMO Printers looked like the CPair of 2004 in his starts at the end of 2009. You are entitled to your opinion, but given that you are suggesting that he won't last one game, I suspect it is a tainted opinion.

Re: How long will Printers last as the starter?

I didn't like the way Printers left BC, but it was his choice. I didn't want him to come back, but I wanted him to do well in the NFL and with Hamilton. It didn't happen, but it looks like he's matured a lot. Just hearing the way he talks now, I'm glad he's back with BC. He did look like the KC of 04 last year when he was scrambling out of the pocket. I think he'll do well since he can actually make chicken salad now.

Then Lulay would be in the same position as Printers. No worries because what is written on an internet forum doesn't necessarily translate on the field of play. :)

Thank goodness for that.

IMO, it's not that simple in this case. Printers' best year came when we had the worst o-line in recent memory... If I'm not mistaken, that 04 group led the league in sacks allowed...Casey's magic came in scrambling out of the mess they made...also, at least some of his injuries have not even involved getting hit...I remember an instance in Hamilton where he pulled his quad just running...ditto the "turf-toe" issues he had here...

Printers has played well. You could put Doug Flutie behind our offensive line and he wouldn't get the results you would hope for. The problem is with our O-Line, not our QB.

Printers is not the problem, and has played well whenever he's had time. On most plays he's had no time whatsoever, especially last game and has had to resort to running for his life most of the time.

I agree.

And IMO Lulay did well too under the circumstances. For the Riders' LBs on the outside, or even Brent Hawkins at rush end, it was usually just a straight sprint to the QB.

Whether it is Printers, or Lulay, or Jackson, unless we make adjustments to pick up the blitz, our QBs will be under heavy and constant fire. The QB is not the problem for the Lions.

One big factor is we had no running game. Robertson ran the ball 10 times only. With our green as grass O Line, with guys who are big and physical, why not pound the ball, over and over? Even if the average gain is not great, you do wear down the D Line, and get them back on their heels. And Robertson is capable of breaking some decent runs.

Who is Jaques Chapdelaine Alex, for 30 yards. The new innovative 'schemes' the Lions were suppose to bring forth for 2010 seem eerily similar to the 04 - 09 packages on O. I think that the Lion fans now have right to question Wally when we will be seeing the 2010 schemes that we were told about.
