Argos O-line has done a great job so far.

Looks like a tie game.

I wonder if it's going to be a mistake getting the TD in two plays?

What was Mathews thinking?

Looks like the Lions will have to earn 2nd place.

(Riderfans seems to be overloaded with the estatic and suicidal)

The Riders didn't earn this one.

You can argue that the Riders didn't earn this one, but I guess you always have to play for 60 minutes.

Does TSN know something we don't. Just now on the Sportscentre the text says that the Riders will host the BC Lions.

I know I know its a mistake but its still funny.

Not funny. In very poor taste.

I think my hatred of the Esks is being overtaken by the Riders :bang: and the teams, (Hamilton, Toronto and Winnipeg that blew games to them) :bang:

What the :x were they thinking trying a direct snap on 3rd and 9 in the final minute of a tie game? :bang: That call was more rotten than Jake Ireland's teeth. With that distance to a first down, it's probably the lowest percentage play in the playbook (if it were 3rd and one or two, that's a different story).

If they just HAD to gamble (which is just plain stupid in a tie game), better to have the punter control the situation, as he can assess himself whether it's safe to pull it down himself or throw to an uncovered receiver. If that was Marcello Simmon's decision, he should be looking for another job.

To me, the beginning of the end was having Vanderjagt (not the strongest punter to begin with IMO) punt from his end-zone with a 2 touchdown lead instead of taking the safety and kicking off.

DH 8)

Enough to make you wonder if some $$$ was dished out somewhere along the line 8) Mabey, the Riders horsehoes up their (what!!!) getting away with some of their games this season may catch up to them in the playoffs :cr:

That happened to me a few years ago. Canada's own "soccer hooligans" , for me it's more the rider fans that are the big turn off though , but then that is reflected on the team .
I think Matthews needs to go back into reitrement this off season , they could have won that game if not for some real stupid coaching decisions . As Matthews has implied , they're all trying out for jobs , it should apply to him too . That punt from their own endzone with a 14 point lead was real stupid and put the green-weenies in fg range when they got the ball back . Wow , smart he saved two points and traded it for a minimum 3 points .

No matter, the Lions have proven that the Wheaties can be beaten at the Poop Coop anyhow! :roar: :beauty:

Maybe its for the best and we won't just coast into the playoffs and play a meaningless final game. Now we get to see what the team is made of when the pressure is on, which is where playoff teams shine.

Wonder if Don has lost it or just didn't give a darn.
