According to the library computer, the term refers to a game played on solid H20, whereby one group of 5 attempts to conduct a disc of frozen rubber into a mesh orifice some 60-70 meters distant, causing bodily harm along the way with 1 and a half meter wooden or metal shafts with curved ends.

By the end of the 21st century, the "Canuck games" had given way to more civilized pursuits.

Just to point out that it is actually a group of 20 game day players, where 6 at a time play on solid H2O. As for the remainder of the post for accuracy, that would be surprising, but I won't go where no man has gone before. :wink:
