It is such a cliche, but this is the biggest of game of the year.
We will find out a lot of things about the 2008 edition of the BC Lions after Saturday:
- Are they going to be in the mix to host the west final or any playoff game?
- Can they win on the road against the top teams in the league?
- Can Buck lead the offence in a hostile environment against one of the best defences in the league?
- Has our O-line gotten back to their old 'dirty' and dominating ways?
- Have they underachieved this year, or are they simply overrated?

All I know is I am jacked for this game... maybe even more jacked than I was last week when I was going to see the game live. Getting the tiebreaker advantage could prove to be the difference between finishing first or fourth.

With limited games remaining in the schedule, you better believe that this game is huge. The tiebreaker places a whole different level of pressure on the Riders, as we would only be one game away from taking them in the standings and they have back to backs with Calgary.

The Riders will be emotionally pumped for the rematch. Lions need to score early (and often) to take the fans out of the game.

I will take that version, just as long as the Lions don't let the Riders score on their first possession, as they have been prone to do all season.

I was very surprised to see the province rate the sask receivers as better than the lions. I can only assume they are assuming JC wont play, or wont be 100%. Yet even without JC, I would still call it even at best.

I saw that too and was wondering how they came to that conclusion .If all their top recievers were back , maybe they'd have a point there. Dressler is good , but I wouldn't put him ahead of Geroy . They also rated QB's equal , IMO Pierce is better then Bishop at this point .

The Province is probably factoring in the fact that they have Adam Nicolson and we have....Rufus Skillern.

Well - it's game day, folks.
It's going to be a gooder - the Lions are trying to make their way back up the standings and the Riders are out to stop the losing skid and avenge themselves for the loss last week in Vancouver - there's no clear cut favorite today.
I'm sure emotions will be running high with the tribute to Ronnie planned for pre-game, we'll have to see how this one pans out - whoever scores early will take the game, IMHO.
Good luck Lions fans - enjoy the game!! I'll be in section 27 and looking for any orange in the stands if there are any Lions fans here in Regina and are checking this board pre-game...

Have fun , your a nice guy on our board and all but I can't wish you too good of a time because you know , we want the W.

I agree, good poster for other Rider fans to follow in his shoes. However today he is on the other side and I wish him good luck, but I want a Lion win.

I will be there today too! I'm excited, but very nervous. Wish I was on the BC side of the field but we have my husband's bosses seasons tickets on the Sask side. Keeping my fingers, toes, etc crossed, hoping to see JC play and trying to keep from having a heart attack.

I think the Lions will be better tonight. To be honest they just seemed more nervous and not as confident as they were the two weeks prior. Purrhaps they were unsure if their little surge was for real? Purrhaps they were unsure how much Roberts would have an effect on their purrformance.
Either way, I'll bet they've shaken some of the nerves (purrhaps helped by Williams growong Gorilla teeth and growling all week) and will have a more polished offence once again. Combine that with the *poop* Wally gave the db's (or was it just Banks?) and another level of confidence I think this will be a surrprising sweep.
But I could be totally wrong also.

I'll be across the field from you in the Section A of the new temporary seats they added.

Nice spin TSN is using for their ads promoting tonight's double-dip.
Apparently "the Riders will be out to avenge their UPSET loss last week in BC"
