answered the question and cleared up the confusion. The two white stripes will be painted on instead of sewn on, and will not be removed entirely.

I think the stripes make poorly thrown passes make even worse. Lame Duck passes look awful whereas without the stripes its a little less obvious.
With that being said, I still think I would be sick if they removed the stripes. Get rid of the silly sewn on stripes for sure, and hey find a way to add some red and a maple leaf somewhere on the stripe.
