Poor excuse for an onside kick. Just when things were starting to go well.

just as you dont call a guy the second coming after one good game, neither do you write him off after one bad one.PigSkin_53 wrote:Who here believes in Mike Reilly and how he may be able to help our Leos win another GC?B.C.FAN wrote:Reilly is having trouble hanging in to the ball. I still believe in Reilly's potential with a better than 50% expectation.

Re: Game Day Thread- Stamps vs. Lions
I'm with you on your latter point, which is that Reilly isn't using his head well at all.MexicoLionFan wrote:Did someone say this isn't all on Reilly???? On offence it is...
TD throw to Simon but he was 30 yards wide open...Reilly is telegraphing all of his throws...
That said, he has had no time on 2nd and Long, which he has been put in because of stupid penalties.
Also, Dean Valli is trying to play center. I'll pause while you finish laughing at that.

This seem to be a common trait with our OCcromartie wrote: That said, make note that Calgary continues to send delayed blitzes that the Lions offense continues to not prepare for. The Riders made a habit of this as well.

We should be doing that every game with EJ...he has size, strength and leaping ability to make big plays like that.

First of all, Rod Black is beyond terrible.
And, that's fact. Not opinion.
I'd rather listen to Don Whitman. Yes, even today with his vocal chords in their current condition.
Black is horrible, horrible, horrible.
Second of all, who cares how bad the Leos are getting pummeled? This game means nothing. at all.
I am in three serious CFL pick-em pools with fair-sized pots to win.
I am close in all three.
This is the first time all year I immediately picked the Lions' opponent to win.
It's also the first time all year I haven't rushed home to ensure the beer is cold and the surround sound is on and I am prepared for an "event."
This is no more than a glorified exhibition game.
It matters not what happens; they will be ready when it counts.

Re: Game Day Thread- Stamps vs. Lions
I agree - NO injuries but play hard and add smart. Instead of a Harris trying to get an extra yard - step out kind of thinking but...what seems to be happening is that the Lions think like their coach - no one can figure out our DEF. Our O is plug and play. They came out flat as a team - coaches and players. Not doing this game which, at the moment, is it's only saving grace.
But you know what? My only goal for this game was getting out of it healthy. So I'm not going to sweat it. Next week is significantly more important, because you want to go into the bye on a high note.
That said, make note that Calgary continues to send delayed blitzes that the Lions offense continues to not prepare for. The Riders made a habit of this as well.
Reilly didn't help to start.
A stinker can be a good thing vs Stamps as Stamps are setting the standard. It is not low.
It can be bad at this stage as the next game is the WDF and if Stamps are the chosen ones - it gives Stamps lots of confidence.

Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

C'mon scorekeeper, it's a blow out so far but don't get carried away about it LOL

You are right Cro...it can't be an easy thing playing QB behind Dean Valli...
Nice drive by Reilly...if you noticed, much of his nervousness has finally dissipated...I guess being behind 34-0 will do that to you...

Reilly has really seed down and shown poise on the last few drives.
