Hey, JohnHenry, don't sugarcoat it. Tell us what you really think. Ha haJohnHenry wrote:
Yes, #1 Lions fan in Sask, the facts are very inconsistent. One report has him taking a double dose of painkillers plus a muscle relaxant and was acting loopy at work...so they sent him home. Another report has him taking a double dose of muscle relaxants, while another report had him mixing two different painkillers, which the judge admonished him for. Since he knew he was guilty, why did he wait a year to confess? He could of done that last year and all this would be ancient history. I guess Cal had him pegged as a "red-haired pissant" way back then.

I'm no fan of Tillman's although I liked the job he did with the Lions, and he has had success elsewhere as well. But I would not wish his situation on anyone. It would be bad karma to have such evil intent for anyone.
Still awaiting word out of Regina ...
I suspect it is about as tough a decision as those guys could face. Obviously they would like to keep him as GM, but are wondering about the fallout if they do. And would the downside be manageable if they kept him?
The Riders had a bit of a renegade reputation going back to the Roy Shivers era: players out of control in the community. If they kept Tillman, this would support that image: looking for football success at any cost. Even if they kept him, I suspect the fallout across the nation would eventually force them to let him go.
I'm not suggesting people don't deserve forgiveness, or a second chance. But some jobs demand a reputation beyond reproach as well, and the GM of the Riders, that hallowed franchise and community icon, is one of those jobs. IMO.
