If this is the case I would think tickets are starting to move, because they generally don't open that other side unless they hit a certain number...Good find!
The higher priced sections on the orginial side are basically full.... nice to see the other side opened up.

Lloyd
Looks like we have our first price category sell out.
Sort of.
The $69 high rent sections (lower bowl) on the LIONS SIDE of the field has nuttin left.
And only singles in the $69 high rent Stamps side.
Like the fat guy said to his pharmacist the next day, "Yep, things are really starting to move now."

Good point about past history being a determinant of which sport you attend to. Like you Cats Eyes, my interest in football originates in childhood when I went to games with my mom and stepdad. I think past history is particularly important for determining who goes to games when it comes to women because (traditionally at least), we're not socialized to be avid sports fans to the extent that guys are. This may be changing though.CatsEyes wrote:David I know your comment was more directed at PF, but I include myself in the "such as yourself" comment. I was lucky enough to grow up with a peripheral appreciation of the CFL. I say 'peripheral', because I was aware it was on when I was little, and I remember my grandparents' Grey Cup parties, but I didn't have any apprecaiation of the nuances of the game at all until I met Lawrence. Taking Football 101 and 202 really cemented my knowledge as well, and I am most grateful for that. I'm learning more all the time, and the one bit of knowledge I am most proud of this: Being a Bomber fan is not genetic. Somehow my dad passed the gene on to my brother, but it bypassed me.David wrote:As for football, I commend female fans such as yourself that have taken an interest in the CFL, have taken the time to learn the terminology and strategy, and care enough to come on and talk football. Okay, and shoes. DH 8)I appreciate all of you 'learned' fans putting up with my stupid questions, and helping to improve my ever-growing appreciation of this game and team we love. Thanks!
And for the record, I only have about 6 pairs of shoes. Work shoes, sneakers, running shoes, 2 pairs of heels and my hiking boots. That probably revokes my membership in the "Girl Club", but shoes have never done anything for me. My mother "Imelda" on the other hand......
By the way, like most gals, we're both far too interesting to belong to a club where it's members are defined by their interest in footwear.

I've added a link to my site to try and sell a few tickets...I get a couple thousand unique visits a day so hopefully it sells a few tickets...

Other side of Upper Deck now opened
They've just opened up the Upper deck at the other side of the stadium, the section that's always closed off: Sec 14 and 15
Re: $ 29 Upper Level
To clarify what 120 is saying here, not ALL upper deck seats are $29. They range in price from $29 to $64 but the uppder deck endzone and corner seats facing the board are indeed $29 and if you don't wait until next week you can score some fine 20 yard line seats in section 44 for only $29 a ticket.120dB wrote:yep, Upper Level tickets are $ 29, I just checked.

That's gotta be the best deal in the house.
I suggested in a previous thread that if the Stamps win on Sunday, the 11th and 12th could be hyped as a Beat Calgary weekend, with the Flames and Stamps in town.OrangeShoes99 wrote:And one more thing, would it hurt the Canucks who play the night before to throw up a big "Best of Luck to the BC Lions get out and support them in the WDF!" On that fancy new scoreboard of theirs?
Perhaps maybe someone at the Lions office should make an inquiry?
Just got my 7 tickets. Section 46, upper level. Had to call the BC Lions box office because http://www.ticketmaster.ca has been down all day. The lady on the line told me that I could buy through them (but still pay the ticketmaster their fees - no big deal.) She was able to get me tickets that the ticketmaster web-site would not direct me to so I'm glad I called them.
I asked if the tickets were selling fast and she said the good upper levels on both side of the field are really starting to move. She said they will open other sections of the top level on an "if needed" basis.
I'm guessing 30 k already sold.
