Welcome to Lionbackers.com
Drop by our tailgater pre-game or swing by Section 17 at halftime and introduce yourself. Until I secure myself ST, I am calling myself "a landed immigrant" in 17.

Hello everyone, red from gostampsgo.com here.
Thought I would expand my CFL fan forum membership to include esksfans, riderfans and of course, lionbackers. For the most part I just stick close to home at GSG, but you'll definately see me around here from time to time.
Big congrats on first place, little shakey finish to the season, but my Stamps had you covered. Best of luck in the playoffs too!
I've spoke to a lot of you already in the past - D, Payne Fan, Solar Max, etc.
(Infact, I hope to see SM at the West Semi on Sunday )
Cheers

Hi there.
Let me introduce myself.
I'm 29 years old, and have been a Lions fan since I was 12 years old. I really got into the team during the 1988 season and their run to Grey Cup. I still remember a big play early in the WF against Edmonton where Dunigan hit Cherry on a deep pass to the RB!
I didn't really start going to the games until 1991, the Flutie year (my favorite year until the last two seasons). My name comes from the "fight song" the Lions used in 1991. In their ads, and after they scored a TD, they would play the song. It went a little something like this:
<guitar power chords>
Lions! Ohhh Ohhh Ohhh Ohhhhh!
Power! Ohhh Ohhh Ohhh Ohhhh!
<repeat>
I still remember, when during a 2nd half comeback against Sask, after Flutie threw a TD pass, the PA guy cut the song right after the "Power!". The sound of thousands of people going "Ohh Ohh Ohh Ohh" was awesome! Too bad the song didn't stick.
Since '91 I've been a season ticket holder twice (including this year), and have been to many games.

So I'm back after a 1 year hiatus.
I was here at this time last year.
I took quite a bit of heat from other posters regarding my comments about Casey.
One year later......................my thoughts on Mr. Flake have not changed.
I'm interested in seeing what others now think, after a year of mediocrity by "Mr. MVP".
