Good to see them finally getting Antwi into the game

With Perkins injured, Wooudruff has moved to RT.

It was a meaningless game for both teams, and the Als substituted heavily in the second half but the Lions played with energy and confidence that we haven’t seen in the second half of the season.
VA read the field well, took the free throws to the field against Montreal’s soft zone, and did an amazing job of scrambling for first downs. He completed 26 of 36 pases for 385 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs, one of which was coughed up by Ayden Eberhardt in the red zone.
B.C. receivers stepped up for Adams. Keon Hatcher had by far his best game of the season with 8 catches on 9 targets for 117 yards. Justin McInnis had 7 catches on 11 targets for 106 yards and set the tone early with a 43-yard grab to set up the Lions’ opening TD. Even Alex Hollins stepped up with just his second TD since July 13.
I hope the injury to Garry Peters isn’t serious. Manny Rugamba was a bit lost on the hot corner, but the Lions didn’t allow a TD so I can’t be critical of the defence, which played with energy and forced a couple of big turnovers in the red zone.
This win will lift a weight off the team heading into the bye. The road back to B.C. Place is hard but don’t count this team out.

If only we could play Montreal in the West Semi Final. 2 lopsided wins; 1 each for Adams and Rourke. Hopefully some momentum and confidence for them to build on....

Did Eley play today? Was on yesterday's depth chart, but noticed Varga at Middle LB all game and Router getting in when we went 3DL sets.

I didn’t see Eley. Hladik and Varga were in for almost every defensive play. Varga led the Lions with 8 tackles. Hladik had 4, including a sack and tackle for loss, and added a fumble recovery. He was instrumental in both goal line stands.Clash Dance wrote: Sat Oct 19, 2024 7:43 pm Did Eley play today? We don’t give the defence enough credit when they play well, and they’ve played their best games against Montreal this season, holding the Als to just 216 net yards and 134 yards passing despite the loss of the Lions’ best DB, Garry Peters

Nice to see Antwi get some playing time. He seems a bit quicker than Stanbeck but not as hard a hitter. I like both of them.
