I wondered about that too, but Flintoft didn’t appear on any of the official injury reports for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
I have seen Carl Meyer kick after practice and he looks very effective. That's practice and games are very different. It can be like my buddy golfer where we'd go to the range Friday night and the next day when he'd be spraying balls all over the course, he'd say he 'can't understand it as he was hitting them great last night.' It wasn't worth pointing out that he was hitting on the range all over but now on the course with narrow fairways, rough and traps, he was all over the place.

Possibly it's a Flintoft minor injury kicking such that he's still hold for FGs only.

What I don't get with the punter holding and not a QB is that in practice when they're kicking FGs the QBs are free.
Not sure why they'd not give that job to Brice BUT on the downside to that I guess is that back ups move on faster than punters.

Injuries are a factor for both teams but the Lions have a big advantage on paper at receiver. Jaelon Acklin and Bralon Addison are out of the Ottawa lineup with injuries suffered last week, but the Redblacks haven't activated either of their latest signings, Maurice Ffrench of Rasheed Bailey. Instead rookie receivers Andre Miller and Eli Stove will see their first CFL action as starters.

Another thing I noticed is BC is very thin on the PR now listing only 5 players. Possibly that's as a means to put a dent into the added costs of Rourke and Betts. That amounts to a $3750/week SMS savings versus carrying 10. $5250/week savings vs Ottawa who are carrying 12 this week.

Add Kalil Pimpleton to the list of non active players to grasp the full impact.

Don't sleep on Dom Rhymes though. Justin Hardy is a star and Nick Mardner has played well in limited targets so far. Andre Miller is 6'2" / 230 and Stove played at Auburn so they may have something to show as well. Says a lot about their recruitment team.

Could be a lot of offense from both sides yet. Over / Under is 50.5

Rick Campbell said VA will not dress this week because he’s not ready to go into a game and contribute. He’s hoping for next week in Montreal.

I believe this is game 4 that VA will miss, so can we put him on 6 game retroactive to his first missed game? That would save some cap $. Or, because he was listed on depth chart (even though he didn't dress) we can't?

I don't know the exact details but one of the stipulations when on the 6 game IR is that the player is not allowed to practice with the team for the first 4 weeks. This would make it impossible to go on the 6 game retroactively.

Weather looks good. Should be a fast track.

Hoping all in attendance enjoy their game day experience.

Excellent starts have not been the Lions issue for the last 5 weeks. Playing well for more than the first quarter has been the problem.

I kind of questioned using Rourke on the QB sneaks. Then I saw his reaction after scoring. Great move to give him the ball. He really needed the opportunity to get fired up.

Definitely an encouraging start with the passing game showing signs of life but they seem completely loss throwing in the red zone. Hollins wasn’t close to be being open on that 2nd down play

I don't think Hollins was a primary read but rather a final checkdpwn option. But point taken.
