Some fans would look the other way if it were Jack the Ripper and if he were a good player and wearing their jersey.Sir Purrcival wrote: ↑Sun Sep 04, 2022 9:11 pmI saw that shot too and it was a cheap shot at best. Not only hit him for no reason but blindsided him too. This guys name keeps floating to tbe top of the dirty play list and yet read on a certain fan forum a ton of complaints about one sided officiating.

I saw the Marino hit on Collaros live today. It was definitely a cheap shot. Not the worst I've seen, but this guy doesn't deserve a long leash based on past history. The league already struggles to find star QBs as it is. It can't afford having the Rourke's and Collaros' get injured by cheap shots.

Clearly a cheap shot. Wouldn't surprise me if the league fines him again.
With Collaros' history of concussions, a play like that could easily be the end of his season or even career. Extremely careless hit by Marino. He's a dirty player who seems to take pride in knocking star players out of the league. That he continues to be started by Saskatchewan shows a moral weakness on the part of Riders management, not to mention a lack of long term business sense. If Riders won't take action, the league must.
Long overdue, and well after the image of Craig Dickenson and the Rider organization was tarnished.maxlion wrote: ↑Tue Sep 06, 2022 6:13 pmRiders release Marino. Good move.

Yes, the risk for injury in this sport is high enough as is, don't need a catastrophe-waiting-to-happen (Marino) lurking on the field. I'm just disappointed and embarrassed for the Rider's brass and head coach that they didn't see the light sooner.maxlion wrote: ↑Tue Sep 06, 2022 6:13 pmRiders release Marino. Good move.

Good article on 3D by their local Regina beat guy.

Dave Naylor reporting that Ambrosie has issued a memo against any team signing Marino. Thumbs up. https://3downnation.com/2022/09/07/cfl- ... no-report/

Well better late than never I suppose but it still looks bad that it took this long.
Tell me how long must a fan be strong? Ans. Always.
