BC D bends but doesn't break — on this series at least, but for how long? — as Paredes chips in another FG. 17-6 BC.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Leone pushes his 53yd FGA wide right, Cgy returns it to their own 35, where they strike immediately for a 75yd TD toss from BLM to Greg Wilson. Paredes kicks the 1PC to close the gap to 17-13 BC. Injuries starting to take their toll.

Three defensive starters down. Stamps with horseshoes up their ass. The offence has to step up big or this will be very tough to win.

Messam goes straight up the middle for 16.

Paredes adds his 3rd FG to narrow BC's lead to 17-16 with 72 seconds left in the half.

Why aren't we taking kickoffs after these FGs?

Jennings fumbles near midfield with 0:35 left in the half. Cgy could take a lead to the dressing room.

Great match up ruined by injuries. Lions offence needs to keep a patched up defence off the field and it is sputtering yet again.
