Again ZERO yards on first down run then two and out. Inability to run becoming story of the game.

The play calling has become more conservative when the Lions need to open up the offence to regain momentum.

Cortez is a complete moron. Fire his ass. Tedford equally to blame given he is hearing every play on his headset.

Lions forego the kickoff, take it at the 35, sack. 2nd & long, incomplete. Punt to come.

You can feel it slipping away. Three 2 & outs in a row in Q4.

There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Here's a rundown of our first down plays through our first two series of Q4:

Q1: run 0, run 0, run -1, run 8, pass 21, run 2, run -2

Q2: run -6, pass 24, pass 8, pass inc, pass inc, pass 7, run 1 (TD), pass 12, pass 28, pass inc

Q3: run 6, pass inc, pass inc, run 1, pass 15 (TD)

Q4: run 0, run 0

If my math is right:

run: 12car, 9yds, 1 TD
pass: 7comp, 12att, 115yds, 1 TD
