An ordinary TiCat D looking very good by going to the blitz.
Whwn they hang back, Lulay can attack.

Re: Lions vs. Ti-Cats Game Day Thread
Gee didnt see that coming
Re: Lions vs. Ti-Cats Game Day Thread
Another goal-to-go scenario, another FGA.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Linemen getting beat straight up by guys with swim moves. Norman a freaking pylon on this drive.
Re: Lions vs. Ti-Cats Game Day Thread

Hey. When did we trade for the Eskimo offensive line?

Baller: "Until the Lions figure out how to counter to the blitz, everyone's gonna do it."

Well, you enjoy this *poop* show. My to do list is too long and time this weekend is too short to deal with this.

Step up in that pocket, Lulay. LOL
Re: Lions vs. Ti-Cats Game Day Thread
Lapo stating what we have been saying. Quick passes to counter the blitz. For some reason Chap didn't get the memo. Maybe we should hire Lapo as our next OC

Rick Ball: "Til the Lions learn to counter blitzes, everyone is going to do it". Duh, Old Slap Chop Chap hasn't figured it out for the last 10 years, do you think he'll figure it out now!
We have the personel to win, but the coaching to lose.

That's Lulay's call. Still, he should hit it. He's overthrown two open receivers on deep routes.Rammer wrote:2nd and 3 and Chaps calls for the long throw which Lulay hits on 10% of the time, just another 2 and out. Soon to be over and out.

Bring in DeMarco.
Pass our way out of blitz pressure.
Austin decided to go with the Alouette blitz. Why not? JC has no idea how to attack it.

Re: Lions vs. Ti-Cats Game Day Thread
Okay there is far too much talent on the Lions O to continue like this. JC needs someone to tutor him for the remainder of the season, perrhaps his career. Take a timeout and you don't have a play that is remotely close to b lame execution as the fault and you won't be able to use a player tripping as the route of the problem.
