Obviously an afterthought from a Lions fan perspective, but the season isn't over yet and there's still the Grey Cup game. The two finalists have played against each other twice before and both games resulted in very memorable, historical games highlighted by a memorable play.

1971: Calgary 14, Toronto 11 highlighted by the Argonauts' Leon McQuay fumbling in the late stages of the game.
1991: Calgary 21, Toronto 36 highlighted by Raghib 'Rocket' Ismail's kickoff touchdown return.

Which team will break the tied Grey Cup series and win the 100th Grey Cup?

The majority of the sportswriters predicted wrong for both division finals. Let's see about the big game.

Both teams are playing well at the right time. I voted Calgary although I won't be surprised if Ricky can lead his team to victory.

The Grey Cup game is never an afterthought for me. Its always a little more (okay a lot more) exciting with the Lions in the game but I'm going to enjoy this one regardless. Don't want Cornish or Lewis to win the Grey Cup but a lot of the other Stamps, sure. Normally I would cheer on the WEST regardless. So, I think the Stamps but I'm cheering for the Argos...

Who do I want to win? Argos
Who do I think will win? Stamps

With all due respect to our good friend Ravi, I don't think it will be close. After watching them systematically dismantle and dismember our Lions, I really don't think Calgary can be stopped (other than taking this game lightly or suffering some kind of let down from the upset this past Sunday). They obviously aren't intimidated by big stages or hostile environments, although Sky Dome should be a lot more "neutral" than the WF was.

I'll think DD's gameplan will trump Jones'. The only area where the Argos have a real advantage is at QB, and even then, a hot Kevin Glenn can be deadly accurate too. If the Argos can't protect Ricky Ray then this could get ugly.

It's been 60 years since the Argos last won on home soil. Would like the strike to continue for a few more years

That's exactly how they've done it for as long as or even longer than I can remember: Damon Allen, Doug Flutie, Matt Dunigan, Condredge Holloway/Joe Barnes. None of these were Argo finds and all won GCs in at most their 3rd season as an Argo. In fact they arguably haven't developed a top flight QB of their own since Joe Theismann.

There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Right on on Argo QBs. Theismann was their only rookie guy who apparently now says he left due to GM & former Ticat's arrogance - John Barrow. Others I know who played with Joe felt that he had a master plan for everything. His card back to Notre Dame here: http://www.redskinscardmuseum.com/joe-t ... tball.html

I was at Empire in the rain in the 1971 and my hatred of that place from that day on was that I got brutally sick the next day and it lasted 2 weeks. McQuay fumbled coming towards that end zone of ours. This year the Argos reunion had their players blaming Theismann for that play claiming that if he had not handed the ball off - no fumble. It was arguable that he was down before the fumble but no replay those days.

I am hoping Stamps and how well they are on a roll but Argos will be tough. Their D will be targeted on the QB take out as Kevin is not a young guy and I am sure Dickinson will factor that in to what they do with Cornish to take advantage of the head hunters like Isaac. Advantage Stamps as Dickinson has really blossomed now as a play caller from not long ago when he looked like the old Chapster.

I dislike the Argos dirty play this season but understand the game will have two QBs with a desire to win and gain that missing piece. I think Ricky Ray had one GC won by Jason Moss for Edmtn and Glenn got the Bombers to the final but broke his arm and couldn't play.

The Argos would have to play a heroic game to beat the Stamps...probably needing a ST or defensive score...with R. Ray shooting the lights out and K. Glenn having his customary let-down. :ref:

I seem to recall Rob Murphy doing the same thing in Ssk for the 2008 WSF. At least he actually played in the game.

T.O for me.

This Tate guy is a total dumbass. He thinks he's so hot but the joke will be on him. He'll be out of the league in a cpl years and nobody will remember him. He's another injury prone headcase.

Ever notice how all of BC's and Cgy's championships are interlaced with one another? I don't think there's any other team that pairs with BC like this.

1948 Cgy
1964 BC
1971 Cgy
1985 BC
1992 Cgy
1994 BC
1998 Cgy
2000 BC
2001 Cgy
2006 BC
2008 Cgy
2011 BC

It's almost like we need the Stamps to win now to boost our chances going forward.
