Maybe im spoiled by seeing lulays demeanor every week but tate seems like a whiny qb. I wasn't impressed when he was yelling at hufnagel last week.

Wow, touchdown by Carr to tie the game. Convert to come.

Riders take the lead 30-29. Lots of time for Calgary to win it and they have the wind at their backs.
Re: Eastern and Western Semi Final Game Thread
too much time on the clock though. Stamps should be able to get a FG
Re: Eastern and Western Semi Final Game Thread
Or a major! They also scored perhaps too quickly.squishy35 wrote:too much time on the clock though. Stamps should be able to get a FG
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

I was just getting used to playing Calgary.
Tate looks so so.
Durant can be scary. Same for Dressler.
Whatever. It all depends on how we play.

Is there another miracle for the Riders ?
Re: Eastern and Western Semi Final Game Thread
Well then, bring on the Stamps.

Is Drew Tate just a little bit self involved? I know ... I know ...
Re: Eastern and Western Semi Final Game Thread
Fantastic finish...great effort by the Riders, but that loss has to hurt. At least there will be no green in the stands next week.

Not sure if it's that or just a bit too mellow dramatic. Either way, he bugs me.. haha
Re: Eastern and Western Semi Final Game Thread
I'm a little disappointed that the Riders lost. I really wanted to see them come to BC Place. It's always more fun when they are here, but either way, bring on the stumps
Re: Eastern and Western Semi Final Game Thread
Obviously I am biased but I believe the Lions could beat either team if at their best on game day.........I am just glad to see a nightmare grey cup of the Riders/Esks put to rest today.
Thank you for everything you did for OUR Lions Mr.Ackles, we will never forget you...RIP
