* It was nice to turn the tables on the Lions with regards to crowd noise. Their taped crowd noise gave the Riders fits in playoff games in the past decade and don't, for one second, believe they didn't do it. The day before the 2006 West Final, a Saturday, we were walking up to BC Place for the walk-throughs and heard sheer bedlam going on inside the stadium. "We said to each other 'what the heck is going on in there?"" but once we got inside, the stadium was empty. They were testing out the crowd noise on the public address system.
* I particlarly loved the running count on the SaskTel Maxtron keeping tracking of time count, offside and illegal procedure penalties BC was taking. The last time I looked, the counter was at 11.
* A note from Rider special teams coordinator Craig Dickenson: "Hi Rod: When you write your blog, make sure you put some props out there for the fans ... like you always do! They single-handedly disrupted the BC offense to the point of giving us a REAL advantage in the game! Hats off to the crowd!"
LINK Even if what he thought he heard was true - and I'm not buying it - can he be sure it wasn't the Lions D practicing at the time with simulatated crowd noise?
