Lions favoured by 4.5. Seems about right. Ya know, these bookies know their business.
And they don't pick winners. They judge the betting public, and try to get the money even on both sides, so that essentially they can collect their commissions.
Injury plagued Lions.
I expect Lulay will play. Harris is out. Ratio adjustments.
The Lions might want a bigger guy than Sanders to carry the mail. I would not be surprised to see Jamal Robertson draw back in.
I expect the game to be at BC Place.

The oddsmakers won't be happy if the venue is moved. I expect they posted their line before they heard about the labour dispute. Otherwise I would expect no betting line. Just like the Maritime Bowl.B.C.FAN wrote:So do I. Is there a betting line on that?WestCoastJoe wrote:I expect the game to be at BC Place.

I fully expect Jamal Robertson to return to the starting lineup, what choice do the Lions have at this point? Lulay is the concern from my perspective, he has to be healthy in order for the Lions to have a chance.WestCoastJoe wrote:Lions favoured by 4.5. Seems about right. Hmmm, what's the over/under for Messam rushing for 100 yards? While BC's run defense has been pretty solid, he's been a beast lately and you just know Kavis Reed is going to be in his ear prior to kick-off, getting him jacked him up that the Lions "disrespected him" last game. Come to think of it, what are the odds of him getting ejected from the game?

I expected BC to be favoured by only a point or two due to injuries Lulay, and Harris and Foster not playing and the Messam factor.

Vegas Odds et cetera
Lulay got some reps today. Moving well enough. Lots of reps for Jarious.
Thelwell looks fit, but he hardly extended himself for the ball. Easing into it, it would seem.
Solo got some reps.
Jamal Lee looks healthy.
Gore looking very healthy.
Lumbala looked healthy.
Ruffin seeming to get reps ahead of Korengay, who might have sat out.
Hunt sat out.
Paris sat out.
Harris not present.
Stanley Franks riding the bike.
Jamal Robertson lots of reps.
Mitchell looks very healthy. Taylor looks very fit also.
Jovon was a beast in pass blocking drills. Wow. Great balance. Great footwork. Strongggg. Stands his man up. Locks him up. If some NFL team takes a close look, I expect he will be gone.
.............
Anybody confident about this upcoming game? Dunno. Things seem a bit ragged just now.
Ricky Ray will no doubt be preparing himself to regain his form against our team.
Bit of an off game for Lulay vs the TiCats IMO.
Messam will be highly motivated methinks.

Frankly, I'm surprised that BC is favoured at all given all their injuries.
Re: Eskimos @ Lions, Oct. 29, 2011 Las Vegas Odds and Commen
IIRC, one of the consistent money-making bets in the NFL is the home underdog so too bad the Lions are favoured.
I think the Esks will try to be balanced. If our boys can stop the run and make the Esks go one dimensional, it will be a fun game to watch, IMO. I hate watching games (especially at home) where a CFL team runs the ball down the Lions throats. I even had to sit through a game (was it last season?) where Ricky Ray ran the ball quite effectively. That stunk!

What he said . That and BC did not exactly look impressive last game . Last few actually . Esks been improving lately too . I would've thought Esks favoured by that much at least .TheLionKing wrote:Frankly, I'm surprised that BC is favoured at all given all their injuries.

It's not as bad as it seems, injury wise.
On offence Harris is out, replaced by Robertson and Iannuzzi and Jackson will draw in for Foster.
On defense, Eliminian is back so MacKenzie goes back to his spot at shortside linebacker. Eric Taylor, who played great against Hamilton may start again at tackle while Brent Johnson will be back in the defensive line rotation.
The only real challenge will be replacing Kournegay, if he can't go against Edmonton. We could insert Ruffin there or we could move Phillips back to his old wideside half spot and play either Dennis or Ruffin at wideside coner.

A tentative deal has been reached with the union and the game will be going ahead at B.C. Place against the Eskimos.

Sounds like Rintoul is doing PxP on 1410 for this game. I will leave the headset at home methinks.
