Depends, the new BC Place is a nice draw for a new owner.

As for making the playoffs, we have not been eliminated from anything...yet, do think there should be a house cleaning after the season as several Vets on the Defence simply have not done enough.

I voted no. And I was pleasantly surprised by the Ticat/Al's game. Maybe the Lions aren't quite as bad (yes, they are 0-5) as I thought. The Ticats looked to have more trouble with the Lions than they did at home versus the Als, just IMO.

If the Lions MISS the playoffs we need to focus on coaching (not personell). A coach with a better culture with bring about a more successful football team, IMO. I still have never been to a practice (planning to in August). Apparently many regulars report there can be a 'going through motions' type of attitude. Kavis Reed has changed that type of culture according to the few remaining longtime Esks. Change the culture and lots of personell will change as well. The ones that stay will live by the stuff the current roster is able to talk about. IMO, our players say the right things, the Eskimo players do the right things.

I am more surprised that only two thirds of our community see the Lions missing the playoffs at this point. From what I am gathering here, it is more about the CFL's flawed playoff requirements than anything else. Perhaps the CFL should look at only allowing the teams with a 500 record or better to get into the playoffs.

Lots of people are talking about how a 2010 1-7 Lions team made the playoffs but it doesn't wash, IMO. The Lions had opportunity after opportunity to make it on their own and stumbled their way through. The Eskimos were just a little worse, IMO. Yes, once the playoffs start everybodys back at ground zero record wise. Yes, the Lions are only a game and a 1/2 out of qualifying for either divisions playoffs at this moment and they are 0-5! There was a lot of whining in the NFL when the divison winners Seahawks got to not only play in the playoffs but also host the game! I'm certainly all for a CFL crossover team needing at least a 500 record to make the playoffs.

I heard David Pratt saying yesterday on the Team that rumour as that Braley was going to hang on to the Lions for this year in order to re-coup some of his investment through Grey Cup money. After the GC he would sell the team and concentrate on the Argos.

If only that were good enough to come true swervynmerv, but its like a nightmare we cannot wake from.

There is an unwholesome obsession with Braley’s strangling the live out of the Lion’s and their faithful, keeping Buono on here regardless of all consequence as the “Captain Bligh” is has now become, and for all these wasted years we can never get back.

He’s run this league for far too long, and now threatens to ruin it if he does not seize and desist soon.

I hope Braley chokes on the Boatmen and they become his Bain.

Well, as to the question at hand, will we make the Playoffs?

SSK stumbled again, we play the 1-4 Riders, we win, we are back into the chase for a playoff birth.

Yep, and lost to WPG the following week and we are in deep deep problems, not eliminated but basically the Bombers and Esks will have effectively clinched playoff births over the carcass of our season.

If it wasn't for Braley there would be no CFL. No Lions and no Argos means no professional football in Canada, so think about that before you post gibberish about him "ruining the league".

I'm not a member of the grammar squad, but it's CEASE and desist and BANE ffs.

I think this is good food for thought for any CFL fan. NO Braley - likely this CFL would be in the toilet. He stepped up when other of the country's millionaires and those in Vancouver and Toronto have sat on their wallets.

He has likely had chances to sell BC but has not as he has always said who the owner is key - as we fans know it is.

Well if that is the sad state that this league has got to, and you’re implying it has, then it’s become nothing but a a joke and “they shoot horses don’t they?"

Might as well make him commissioner and board of directors officially then as well (as if he it’s already)

And by the way grammar cop it’s weren’t not wasn’t
