Is anyone in the media going to hold Wally accountable??TheLionKing wrote:Chris Burns appear to be the apologist for the Lions.swervynmerv wrote:Listening to the post-game show and they are saying that they can't fire the coaches because that would be giving up on the season. I love Farhan Lalji! He calls it like it is and doesnt' care what people think. He just said on the PG Show that Sanchez isnt good enough to play anymore.

Yes. He was asked also by Chris Burns if he meant he was out of position. He said NO as you said.
I think he also is not a fan of Hyland out of the team and S.
I like how Farhan says that WB will show him a lot of film of referee errors and how that a coach should not be doing that. He is refreshing as is Milt Stegall.
I just think the Lions need now to regroup as this should be the lowest point but man on man these coaches have to look in the mirror.

This borders on insanity.Toppy Vann wrote:
If fans want coaching changes then this type of record should do it with next season looking like this:
WB - GM
MB - HC.
JC -- OC and Associate HC maybe.
DC - find a new one.
Broom this staff and bring in a new one once this debacle of a season concludes. At this point, it's the only answer. And I say this as someone who has been an ardent support of Wally's for years.

Yeah. Sigh.Don Miller wrote:Lulay can't get it done when he needs to. Receivers still can't catch the ball. Sanchez too slow at safety. Time for big changes. Overestimated talent again in training camp.
With the coaching... we can't expect anything different. It's embarrassing at this point though. But I really don't expect anything else from JC and WB and MB. I think we're seen all they can deliver.
But what drives me up and down main street in a pink tutu foaming at the mouth is the ineptitude of some of the players they've chosen.
Sanchez, man this guy is slow. Put him at safety to try and hide his weakness... what a debacle! Professionally speaking he's too slow and it shows big time and is causing us games.
Collins, this guy isn't a professional in his job. I don't mean personality-wise... I mean in you're a receiver who can not receive. Embarrassing. Not sure how he made it this far. 5 games in and he's dropped COUNTLESS catches that should be made in high school. I'm talking the EASY STREET catches. It has also arguablly cost us games as well.
But who do they replace him with? Black, Moore, Foster, Gore? Those guys all drop catches too. Man do they miss a healthy Paris Jackson!!!!
Oh well, I've been rooting for the Ti Cats this season. The other Feliod team. Underdogs... they've been terrible for so long I can't help but wish them success; the fans of Hamilton deserve it!
Re: Tired of excuses
I don't buy this criticism. I do think Lulay is open to criticism, but you're going to need to be more specific to prove your case.Lulay can't get it done when he needs to.
If someone "can't get it done when they need to" the better question to ask is "why are they in a position where they need to."
Re: Tired of excuses
I think Wally should announce that this is officially his last year as HC of the Lions. Means the team goes out there and tries to win one for the Ol' Gipper! Here's the hierarchy I'd like to see next season in BC:
Wally Buono: GM
Dave Dickenson: Head Coach
Jarious Jackson: Offensive Coordinator
Rich Stubler: Defensive Coordinator
QB 1 Travis Lulay
QB 2 Mike Reilly
Dominic In Vancouver
P.S. Incorporate the Seventies logo as the primary logo of the team moving forward in 2012. Look great on those white helmets or the black helmets too.
