your opinion and your bimbo comment suck.zark wrote:Blonde bimbos on TV last forever. As long as there is make up and surgery, she'll stay whatever age you think she should be. She's not a journalist. She's a TV personality on a News channel. Nothing more.
She's taking a job away from some one who's far more qualified in journalism.
IMO

She was in over her head as weather-girl, now it is just embarrassing. But if you want your news read by a pretty face then it's a great success.KnowItAll wrote:dissing tamara is just downright ignorant. some people just cant stand that there are good people in the world
she is more than just a pretty face. she has a wonderful personality. my whole family likes her. she was NOT in over her head as weather girl. In fact, thats practically an impossibility for anyone. Even if she isnt good anchor material, which remains to be seen, doesnt make her a bimbo or deserving of insult.MacNews wrote:She was in over her head as weather-girl, now it is just embarrassing. Every Monday night with that so called sportscaster Perry Solkowski asking the questions.jcalhoun wrote:Hey all,
I have to agree on TT --when they announced she'd be the evening news anchor, I decided that on the rare occasions where I watch the "news" I'd choose Global or CBC. A week or two ago I was flipping channels, and I kid you not, they were playing a game where the anchors shouted out the answers to pop-culture questions. How do you segue from the real news of the world, like Libyan helicopter gunships mowing down protesters, to that type of light-hearted, info-tainment filler? Sorry, but I want a certain gravitas emanating from the newsroom, and the current crew at CTV just doesn't have it.
I have to admit, I always chuckle whenever the adverts for the new news team come on --"Tamara doesn't really read the news" --yeah...
Her appointment is just another sign of the collective dumbing down of our society.
Cheers,
James
