I for one have never been on the printers bandwagon. I also am not blaming him for anything this yr. I am simply disputing claims by others that Printers is any better than the other two.Honour Dewalt wrote:I am amazed at how many of you jump on and off the Printers bandwagon. For some reason you can't wait to be able to criticize him when he falters. Yet, when the others have a tough game, you blame it on the O-line or the play calling. The only reason you might like Lulay is because he hasn't played enough to give you a chance to get on his case too. He did nothing to make me think he would be the one to lead this team. Printers has only played three games. He won the first one, the second one a tough loss against Sask where he got hurt, and now his latest game was his first back after missing however many games to injury, not to mention the no-shows on the O-line. Gimme a break.

Who says Printers won't get better? He looked damn good last season!KnowItAll wrote:Lulay has better passing percentage. Lulay manages the game better. Lulays just happened to make rookie screwups on a few plays. Lulay will get better, Printers will not. Jury still out on JJ for this yr, what with injury and all.The_Pauser wrote:
I have no idea why you're blaming Printers for the teams lack of success. Incase you didn't notice, Lulay and Jackson were actually WORSE.
In THREE games, Lulay has turned the ball over TEN times. Lol. Your blind hate for Printers is laughable when you support players who have been worse this year. It isn't as if the age difference between the two is that great either...

A funny image just came to mind. You know those hippie v-dub wagons with all the travel stickers on them? I can see jack chaps' laptop with everyone else's team logo stickers plastered all over it...SammyGreene wrote:Maybe the Surrey RCMP have found Chaps' stolen laptop? Re: Very interesting day developing
So Printers was supposed to play defense, offensive line, receiver, running back, and kicker in Hamilton? And it was Casey's fault that our defense blew the games at the end of the season last year? And it's Casey's fault that we don't have any offensive line this year? I guess Casey should block for himself too eh? I mean, how dare he expect other people to block for him...that's just unacceptable.JohnHenry wrote:Jarious led to the Lions to a record 14-3-1 in 2007. You Casey haters are so illogical you remind me of Toronto Maple Leaf fans! Grow up.

Easy, Pauser. No one here "Hates" anyone. They just like to see results, and the qb position is the most important one on the offence.
I like winning, no matter who the qb is; you like the player, and we differ on that. That's what this board is all about.
If the Lions don't win, some of us can still enjoy the game itself, if not the victory celebrations. Live and let live, what?

So, to sum up and end this debate:
Jackson = no results Lulay = no results Printers = best results.
The problem is I believe two are hurt, and one is way too green. We have bigger problems by FAR than the qb position. It is one piece in a large puzzle.
It looks like this "interesting day" will carry over to tomorrow. Fingerscrossed.

Saying Printers did nothing since 2004 isn't fair either. Do you remember what Burris did in Chicago those years? Anything what like Printers did? Difference is, when Burris came back to the CFL he didn't join the sad sack of the league for the last decade. You can't just give up on him, and you absolutely cannot blame him for this season, seeing as how he has only played 2.5 games.
Re: Very interesting day developing
Right now Printers appears to be the best quarterback we have...and I've always been a fan of Jarious. The fact is that it would be very, very cruel to play a quarterback of Lulay's limited experience in this offence.Honour Dewalt wrote:Saying Printers did nothing since 2004 isn't fair either. It was also cruel to play Jarious, when his shoulder was still hurt. It was cruel to play Printers in his third game while he was very hurt. Printers played last game when he was no where close to being healthy and Printers is stil not healthy.
However, with Printers and Jarious hurting and Lulay being thrown to the wolves what do you do?
If we had a decent running attack it would have been really helpful in this situation. The inexperienced offensive line would also be helped with an emphasis on the running attack rather than trying to pick up blitzes, which is tougher.
I was a huge Casey Printers fan. I still believe, with a good offensive structure and play callling, behind a seasoned offensive line, Printers could do a lot of damage. However, Printers is the type of quarterback who has either tried to do too much in the past or right now, is being restricted by Chap's style of offence and his injury.
However, this offensive mess can't be laid on any of our quarterbacks. It's aa very tough situation to play the quarterback position right now.
