Ok, but Printers being shelved for the year wouldn't be horrible. If Printers is struggling just like every other QB on the Lions roster then why would a non 100% Printers playing be anything better than the rest??The_Pauser wrote:I have no idea why you're blaming Printers for the teams lack of success. Unless there's a QB out there who will also be his own offensive line, no one else is going to have any success. At least Printers looked very dangerous last year, and makes oppsing defenses work harder in their pre-planning for our team than any of our other guys.
Give it a rest. Your blind hate of Printers is illogical.

I have no hate for Printers, and I blame everyone. He is one of everyone, so I guess I blame him too.
The thing is we were all amazed with what Printers could do in 2004 running around buying time and making big plays. But if he was doing those things it would only stand to reason that the OLine then was not playing well then either or he wouldn't have been running around. So what's different now? He won't or can't run around, and has been incredibly ineffective.

Chap wants him to be more of a pocket passer. He's basically gotten orders from the coaching staff to stay in the pocket more. You even saw him be successful at the end of last season when he ran around and improvised a little bit. But that's not what we're seeing this year and a lot of that has to do with the coaching staff. They also believe that it would make it easier on the offensive line to block for him when he's not running around....but then again......Lion Guy wrote:I have no hate for Printers, and I blame everyone. Heh, and we saw how well that worked against Calgary, when 3 defenders got to him.The_Pauser wrote:They also believe that it would make it easier on the offensive line to block for him when he's not running around....but then again......

Probably the Lions are going to announce that Justin Chapdelaine is leaving Queens to sign with the Lions. All in the family.

Uhhhh ... nah, I guess not.
Just that old broken down Chevy ... I mean Chappy. Rusted out a bit. Upholstery all torn. Bumpers and fenders all banged up. Suspension is wobbly. No top gears. Stuck in 1st. Clutch is loose. Tires are thread bare. Muffler is shot. Leaks oil all over the place. Smoke coming from under the hood.
"Drove my Chappy to the levee, but the levee was dry." Radiator out of water. Gas tank on empty.
"Good old boys drinking whisky and rye." Hey, there's the solution.

"And the three men I admire most:

Apologies to Don McLean ...

Every day that passes is one you can't get back
Re: Very interesting day developing
Lulay has better passing percentage. Lulay manages the game better. Lulays just happened to make rookie screwups on a few plays. Lulay will get better, Printers will not. Jury still out on JJ for this yr, what with injury and all.The_Pauser wrote:

I am amazed at how many of you jump on and off the Printers bandwagon. For some reason you can't wait to be able to criticize him when he falters. Yet, when the others have a tough game, you blame it on the O-line or the play calling. The only reason you might like Lulay is because he hasn't played enough to give you a chance to get on his case too. He did nothing to make me think he would be the one to lead this team. Printers has only played three games. He won the first one, the second one a tough loss against Sask where he got hurt, and now his latest game was his first back after missing however many games to injury, not to mention the no-shows on the O-line. Gimme a break.

Maybe the Surrey RCMP have found Chaps' stolen laptop? Too bad the entire league already knows the contents of the playbook.
