Apparently this journalist tells it like it is......or the ways she sees it.

Funny article slamming the fans for being loud and rude and not having faith in their team being able to beat other teams without noisy rude fans altering the "playing field" for the visiting teams..... :popcorn:

It sounds about right to me.. although not enough weight is given to the stupidity of the team itself.

in the online version she gets a byline.... so I think she is a journalist working for the paper, even if it presented as a (poorly written) letter to the the editor.

I think her neighbour's driveway would be a better place to check. :P
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Meh - I dismissed this as the ramblings of a member of CAVE - Citizens Against Virtually Everything.
